Dong Bo Sung — Restaurant in Frisco

I was very impressed with the food at Dong Bo Sung in Frisco. The quality has improved significantly compared to my visit a few years ago. Every dish was freshly cooked to order, arriving at the table hot and full of flavor.

I highly recommend the Seafood Stir-Fried Noodles—if I remember correctly, it was item #52. The dish looked exactly like the menu photo, which was a pleasant surprise. The vegetables and seafood were perfectly balanced with the sauce, and the noodles were well-coated, making every bite delicious.

The servers were attentive and friendly, frequently checking in on our table without being intrusive. The Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) was served with a thick, rich sauce that had just the right consistency.

The Kanpoonggi (crispy spicy chicken) was freshly fried and stayed crispy even under the sauce. The vegetables in the sauce were finely chopped, making it easy for kids to enjoy as well. You can also request it non-spicy, which makes it a great option for families with children.

We absolutely LOVE this restaurant. The food is amazing, cooked fresh, with unique flavors. It's non-traditional style Chinese with hints of Korean giving the dishes a wonderful originality. I love the Sweet & Sour Steak made with fresh Rib Eye steak that's so tender you can cut it with a fork or Chop Stick, LOL. On my last visit, I requested shrimp instead of the steak and I was shocked & delighted when my order arrived. The shrimp were HUGE, juicy, tender, and FRESH. There were so many shrimp, I could hardly believe my eyes. It was beyond delicious. I also love their vegetable dishes, again freshly made and delightful. My family, friends, and I have been patrons of this restaurant for years, but I'm sad to say they are inconsistent in both the taste of their food and the quality of service. My family and I visited last week. All of our noodle soups were sub-par with the only flavor being salty. My face got all swollen up the next day, maybe because of MSG or some other ingredient they used. They also left ingredients out of our dishes. When my parents visited with their friends just the month before, they seemed to get better quality food and service. We also feel like they discriminate based on age and gender.
