Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Frisco

TLDR: okay, but if you want the real experience, go to the Kung Fu Tea on Warren instead. 9292 Warren Pkwy #230, Frisco, TX 75035

Wonderful place to get boba. I ordered through GrubHub and got a half empty drink that was leaking. The manager immediately refunded me and gave me two free drinks which really shocked me, as it might not even have been their fault. Great drinks and the best darn customer service I've ever seen. Above and beyond.

Edit: ordered again, just today 01/07/2022, a Rosehip Milk Tea and a Ginger Tea. Called because what I got was a perfect Rosehip Milk Tea if a bit less than full, and a white liquid that looked nothing like Ginger tea and tasted like milk. Called, this one guy picked up and when I said my order was wrong immediately denied I ordered until I said I had the receipt. Continued to say he was the only one there and he just made it. Pictures below. If he made a mistake that's fine, but instead just immediately started to get angry at me. The issue isn't the store, and I know people will say I'm "harassing a poor worker" but it's literally not corporate or their manager telling them to do this. If you can't get an order right and refuse to even give the possibility of a mistake a thought and immediately blame the customer then you're the problem and should be fired.

Edit edit: also added pictures of my first order which they refunded and had great service the first time. Sadge smh my head as the kids say. Dude refunded me the ginger tea after I called back 20 minutes ago at 4:10 pm. Won't be going back to this one but at least fair's fair. Added...

The boba here is decent, not the best,but not the worst, but that’s just Kung Fu Tea in general not this store in particular.

I frequently visit Stonebriar mall, and have tried this store on a few of my visits, and from what I see and hear this franchise needs to be shut down. I always chat with the staff when I visit, and it seems some sketchy things are going on with the owners.

I was once told not to order certain items because the ingredients were expired, but apparently the owner is cheap and doesn’t want to throw away anything! That’s unacceptable and disgusting!!!

On one visit I went to tip a barista for their great service, but they informed me that because they were new they wouldn’t get any tips… this is VERY illegal, and if they aren’t getting these tips… then who is?

My last straw with this location was hearing that the owners are keeping any tips left in the cash jar. Thats completely unacceptable, because people are under the impression that the tips they leave are going to the employees!! I don’t want to line the pockets of some terrible owner!!!

CORPORATE NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE AND SHUT DOWN...

I visited this location a few years ago and had a great experience with the friendly staff. However, on my recent visit, the service was shockingly poor. One worker, a man wearing a mask, looked utterly miserable and unwelcoming. After wandering the mall for a couple of hours with my girlfriend, we came back to Kung Fu Tea and were met with an even worse experience.

The new employee, a young woman, seemed extremely disgruntled. She barely acknowledged us and seemed to begrudge taking our order. When my girlfriend tried to order a medium drink, the girl snapped that only large sizes were available, without any attempt to engage or assist. She just sat at the kiosk, showing no interest in helping us until we had to prompt her.

We decided to leave and try another time. The staff's attitude and the booth’s unclean appearance were unacceptable. If the conditions are so poor that employees can’t even muster basic courtesy, it might be time to shut the booth down or make some...
