We love Boxedlunch and we normally have no issues, but we’re super dissapointed in our most recent visit. We were checking out and the young woman (Sarah) who was ringing us out was super rude and impatient with my 16 year old nephew. He’s new to buying things on his own, he was nervous and was trying to purchase a blanket for his girlfriend for Christmas. He had thought he could use Apple Pay, but the readers weren’t working so we had to cancel the transaction and pay with my card instead. The cashier, Sarah, immediately seemed very impatient and exasperated that she had to help us. She was short tempered with him and extremely rude. We ended up having to switch registers because hers wasn’t working for whatever reason and I asked if we needed to get back in line or just jump over, and she threw her hands up and said, “I don’t know, just go!” I’ve worked in customer service myself and I understand having bad days, but there’s no excuse for being nasty right off the bat, especially to a kid. The manager helped to place an online order for me because they don’t have the size I want in store. She told me I will to able to pick it up in store within 1 to 1.5 week. However, I received an email state the estimated shipping date is 3 months later. I went back to store to ask for her help to cancel this order. The store manager told me they she cannot cancel this order for me. I have to call customer service. This is Saturday night. Customer service is close. It is the worst shopping experience in my life! I never heard any store that cannot cancel online order ! The manager only say sorry but they can’t cancel order and refund in store.

All the staff was very sweet and helpful, and the store is a gem, but the cashier was unreasonably rude. She wouldn't speak to me directly at first , then I had to ask her for my total, since she was glaring at me for payment and then threw my change on the counter after the transaction. This is after she gave me the wrong amount of my total when I initially asked and her ignoring me after that. Like if I was being rude for asking how much I need to pay.
