Capital One Café — Restaurant in Frisco

Classy coffee and a Capital One Commercial combined into a cool and comfortable place? I'm in.

This is a pretty innovative promotion for Capital One. This Café features coffee by Verve Coffee Roasters, which if you didn't know is quite popular in LA (look them up). It's good coffee. If you have credit or debit card that matches the name of the establishment, you can get your stuff at a discount - at the time of this review it's 50% off. They also have some other promotions at the time of this review (June 2025)- on Mondays members can score a free drink, and on Fridays certain drinks are $3.60 for members and non-members alike. Of course they have information (advertisements) on the walls, asking you to sign up for their bank, but it's no everywhere - they aren't printing it on the coffee cups or anything.

And the place is pretty chill. It's like sitting inside a commercial and drinking coffee, but it's a pretty cool commercial, and it's definitely good coffee.

I didn't try the food, but it looked pretty good. I did try the coffee, and it was great.

They have two unisex restrooms and they were clean, also with changing tables. The staff was polite and friendly, and the guy who's job it was to talk to people about banking was more friendly and chatty than pushing anything.

If you have Capital One cards or services, this place is a must. Come get a great coffee for a couple of bucks. But even if you don't, it's really quite good. While other companies are spending millions on 30 seconds during the Superbowl, some marketing genius said "what if we took that money and ran a physical coffee shop for like, three years? How many more customers could we get than a 30 second commercial?" As I sip my caramel coffee, I bet the answer is a whole LATTE. Well played, Capital One, well played.

Amazing cafe! The drinks are great and the 50% discount is a great perk. Plus the restrooms are always clean and there’s an ATM. However, the last two times I’ve gone I have had a negative experience with their barista Sydney. The first time I was asking to get a certain amount of almond milk on my ice drip coffee, she condescendingly replied back,” so you want a latte?”. I wanted a an iced drip coffee with a certain amount of milk but she wasn’t listening to what I wanted. I thought maybe it was me not explaining correctly so I brushed it off. The second time I had a negative experience with this barista was 06/23. I ordered an iced matcha and she asked me if I wanted a syrup with the drink. I answered no because in the past I’ve seen the simply syrup outside of the bar. So I answered, “ no because you guys have the simple syrup over there.” She then replied, “no, that’s what I asked.” I was so shocked by her response that I just looked at her and said okay. I thought the first time was just me but seeing as this is the second time I’ve had a bad experience with her, I’m starting to think it’s her attitude. I hope management can take this feedback to her and she’s open to it and will improve her customer...
