I have been picking up I Heart Kolache from the Midway location every Friday for the last 6 months for my office staff. They come stuffed full of yumminess and a favorite of the entire office. When I found that I Heart had a location down the street from my house in Frisco, I was so excited to share the experience with my kids. Boy was this a huge disappointment. sadly, all three times I have been, it's like eating a big dough puff with just a few morsales of yumminess. For whatever reason, they only put a very small amount of in our case; sausage egg cheese or ham egg cheese inside the kolache. I went this morning for the third time, had a nice conversation with a very friendly lady working at the counter and explained that there is a substantial difference in quality/quantity compared to other locations. Her response was simple, we have never had a complaint from anyone. Yet, this place is dead (1-2 people in line each time I have gone) compared to where I go on Fridays (as much as a 15 minute wait) or even to the Kolache Factory in Frisco on Preston which can be 10 customers deep waiting in line. Maybe they haven't had a poor review or even had another customer complain up until now but the foot traffic says it all. I have given them enough chances and money. I am out.

I think this place got bought by new owners. I don't think they make good food, their ingredients have gotten cheap. But some people will like it because they don't know what tastes good. Well, here I am again I thought I would attempt another visit. But as I find this place hasn't got no better, it's just a donut shop nothing special about it don't good food it's all cheap ingredients. It's gotten to the point where you can tell because when it's owned by the top of people that owns it now you know I always store stuff where it can be seen in hallways or out front they never put it in the storeroom it's always cluttered they use cheap ingredients it just ain't no good. I still just give it one star, I was hoping if I waited a while and maybe they saw this review they might try to get better but they're not if you look at some of the pictures on their website on the Google reviews you see the very first picture that has the cakes in the display that's when it was that's before it was sold and it was good but now no good.

I went in to buy a couple of things…had never been here. While the guy was getting my things ready I wanted to see if their chocolate was good. I literally told the guy “I’ll pay for one to try” he goes and gets the lady from the back and she literally comes out yelling “nothing is free you buy.” I told the lady that I said I would buy one but at that point I was so mad at the audacity of the lady to think I was asking for something for free. But this was all over an DONUT HOLE. I’ve never been in a donut shop that was so stingy. Everything is extremely overpriced due to the location and the doughnut are a bit overcooked for my taste. I’ll never be back…
