Came here for dinner and drinks with some girls. We decided to is outside because there was trivia going on inside and we didn't want to participate and wanted to be able to engage in conversation with each other. The hostess in the front was very sweet, super friendly and got us sat outside right away. After we got to our table it took about 10 minutes for the server to greet us. No big deal we were fine. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. After we got our drinks one of the girls in the group was not a fan of the cocktail she ordered.. We all tried it and agreed it tasted very off like if there was some sort of chemical or something in there. Just weird. Our app came out and it wasn't hot.. The girl at our table let the server know that she was sorry but she couldn't drink that cocktail because it just really wasn't to her liking and something tasted off. No biggie he took her new drink order and removed the cocktail and then took our dinner order. He repeated the order back to us 3 times which was perfectly fine because we figured he just wanted to triple check to make sure it was correct. not a big deal at all. We had to get up and hunt down our own silverware because no one had brought us any yet. Then we ate the lukewarm app and kept talking.. Maybe 20 minutes later our entrees came out and 2 of the 3 dinners were correct. When the waiter dropped off the order he was like yeah you order the rigatoni or whatever and she said no sorry I order the General Tso's. He looked confused, as did we because we literally repeated the order THREE times...... At this point she still had not gotten her new drink she order either. He didn't say anything just took the plate and left... I had to get the attention of another waiter and ask him if he could please check on her drink because at this point it had been at least 20 minutes.. He went inside and shortly after our server brought out the new cocktail. It definitely had been sitting at the bar for a while because it was a bit watered down but she really liked it nonetheless.. So maybe another 15 minutes go by and 2 of us are basically halfway through our meals before her correct meal arrived... At this point we were ready to leave so we asked for a box for her food and the check. So we had to once again get the attention of another server nearby to bring us boxes and the check because our server hadn't come out to check on us.. I'm not sure if the server who took care of us was new or overwhelmed although it really did not seem busy at all.. The inside/outside sections leaves room for error and increases the chances of bad service because patio tables always get forgotten.. The food was a 6/10. One of us got the blackened chicken pasta that was bland an flavorless.. It actually ended up making us sick. One of us got the salmon and it was was under cooked after asking for it to be well done. And well the other never got to enjoy the meal.. Lol. The server was kind but seemed young and inexperienced. We were told by a girl they would send a manager out but the manager never came. Not once did I notice manager presence the entire time I was there.. Which is kind of unfortunate because that could've prevented so much. Food wouldve gotten a higher rating if it didn't make us sick and the atmosphere was dry outside. For such a large nice patio, you would this the had decent music playing and just better ambiance. Before we left we went inside ti grab a togo bag from the bar to put our togo boxes in and she was very rude as well. Made a weird face after I asked for the bag and then I saw her stop to talk to another employee for a few minutes before returning with the bag. But as she was talking to the point in the direct of the bar I was at. Maybe it was a coincidence but when she finally brought the bag she didnt even look at me or hand it to me directly. kind of just placed it on the bar and turned away without saying a word. Just...
ย ย ย Read moreStopped by during brunch. It was a last minute decision as I had a date cancel and as a person who eats their feelings I decided to go to a "Hyped" place to get me out of my dull mood. Common Place was P A C K E D. Filled to the brim with beautiful people and loud music. Just what I needed to distract myself. I told a lady it was just me and she told me the bar was open. She left out that it was also dirty as hell. Idk who the managers are on weekends but there is no reason such a beautiful place should be that dirty. Unfinished drinks sitting all over the place. Not a good sign to come. I fought to pull the bartenders attention from the beautiful ladies who were surrounding the bar to order a drink but was unsuccessful....(I forgot to identify as a woman that day......gots to be more careful.) Since I knew they were packed I quickly grabbed a dirty used menu on the bar to prepare to place my food and drinks at the same time to help everyone out. Luckily I happened to sit next to a regular and he was able to flirt his way into placing an orde. I used the little charm I have to get my order in too. Brisket Hash and a Vegas 75 to drink. This drink was TRASH. It apparently came with blueberry, mint, gin, and champagne. Sounds fantastic right? Hell no.... It tasted like all they did was pour me a glass of gin and champagne without the mint and the blueberry.... Two very distinctive flavors that anyone could tell if missing. So... I asked the bartender about the mint which is a favorite flavor of mine with alcohol ,who said it was another person's responsibility. To not cause an issue and appear like a problem in a loud packed place I just said I'd order something else.....Brisket Hash came.... Delicious except for the fact it seemed they used a mini ice cream scoop to portion out my brisket. It was 95 percent potatos and 5 brisket.... I'm from Texas... Brisket runs through my veins... How dare they cheap out on a native like that. ... I managed to order another drink and when I tell you it was the most powdery sugary drink in my life. I could feel every grain of sugary mix in that drink which for me was the last straw. Since as I mentioned I was trying to eat and drink my blah away. ... Bill came.... These ppl charged me gratuity.... GRATUITY for a party of one sitting at a BAR. hahaha ... And if anyone thinks it was a money issue please remember I had just got a date cancelled so my budget was for two ppl that day..... Music was great... They know women love Drake so he was in heavy rotation... I could go on about that but it's whatever.... The mixes were solid shout out to the DJ. Played the classics too. ... hopefully They get some organization when they are packed and if they expect crowds you gotta still treat every customer like they matter bad bxtch or not. .....also the staff wasn't rude just seemed like they partied too hard the night before and were not at full capacity to serve such a large crowd well. ...I hope this was funny and...

So we decided to go eat dinner he suggested this place The Common Table. This place is so cool. ๐คฏIt's right in the heart of downtown with all the Dallas Cowboys pictures, and there's a hug statue of men huddling right in the middle of the turn about right outside the restaurant. As your walking from the parking garage there are Dallas Cowboys, different numbers along the path, there are also little memorandums explaining about the person and the number of the team member. This place is awesome. It is a vibe for hip-hop music, and football lovers because they have a hip-hop brunch that I heard that is barely any seat's left.๐คฏ As you walk in there's a really nice set up. There are tables and umbrellas outside for outside seating with T.V's. As you walk in the door there is a big bar to the right plenty of seating then they have a private room off to the right of the bar that looks like the Lord supper. ๐ฎBut it has all of the popular hip-hop stars it's really cool.๐คฉ Check my pictures and you'll see a video too. ๐ So we must have came on a popular day because a couple of people were in their celebrating their ๐ There was one lady at her part they had a wig party. ๐ฅณ Yes you heard it right It was so funny and there wigs are looking crazy.. birthday girl was a lot tipsy๐คฃ They also look like they had a lot of fun.๐ So as we sat down our waitress came and gave us our menus and asked us what we wanted to drink. I ordered a Strawberry Fields Spiked Lemonade, my hubby and stepson ordered Crown For A King and my stepson girlfriend had a Sanpellegrino Mineral Water. Way also ordered appetizers that included chicken parmesan sliders. Flash fried calamari and Fire Cracker Cheese Steak , Eggrolls.๐ Ya'll when I tell you when the drinks came out. They were amazing but when these appetizers came out they must have made them with crack in them because they were absolutely fire. ๐ฅ Do you hear me every last one of them.๐ฏ So we were very excited to order our entrees just from the appetizers๐ Our waitress was fantastic also her name was Aliyah Rainey ask for her she is awesome ๐ซถ So for my entree I ordered Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Ribeye my step son and his girlfriend ordered a Texas Chicken Philly sandwich. When all those came out everything melted in everyone's mouth. ๐ This restaurant is so good and it's fun to look at there are so many pictures of music and football celebrities and it just different little things that gives it a great vibe. ๐ While we were eating, we also got to watch the pregame Dallas and L.A. we're playing. Ever in Dallas and want something for dinner and your downtown? Give The Common Table a try. You definitely won't be...
