Me and my fiance ordered the night of writing this review, we got 2 milkshakes, the place was somewhat busy but the girl up front, didn't get her name but she was a black girl who looked to be in her mid-late 20s or early 30s, she gave every customer that walked in a nasty look, took forever to get to the register, we even heard her make a side comment about the person who ordered ahead of us, when she finally got around to taking our order she rolled her eyes once my fiance said they wanted an oreo caramel cheesecake shake, it took her being told 3 times to ring it in right, I wanted to order a cappuccino cheesecake shake, I said it very clearly and loudly but I only got a cappuccino shake. She was walking around the kitchen with her hands on her head acting like the store being busy was the end of the world despite her not making any food, she wasn't handing out orders quickly and was handing out shakes one at a time instead of waiting for people's whole orders to be done.
I get it, I work at the front register at another restaurant nearby, but keep the bad attitude to yourself and never let the customers see it. We felt like we were a burden on her more than anything and that's not an experience you want when ordering food. I love cookout, I love the staff at this location and this is the first bad experience I've had at it. It's clear that this girl isn't cut for the position and I can only hope that she'll either get better at her job or find something better for her. Cookout is one of the few locations in Gadsden open as late as it is so of course it's gonna be busy around 11pm-midnight, I don't see the point of someone like her working at a location during that shift knowing all of that and then making it the customer's visible problem for a job she clearly isn't cut out for. Working the front register isn't as hard as people make it seem, and it should be common sense to keep your annoyance with rush's to yourself. She had no customer service voice and didn't listen to anything me or my fiance was saying while ordering.
Again, I love the rest of the staff there, they're usually very friendly and charming, I hope this doesn't...
Read moreI have to admit the first three visits were spectacular the food was great the service was wonderful but after what happened today just despicable! Went through the drive-thru and spent $36 and change and the young girl that was taking my order was rushing me and rude as hell so finally I said hey can I order my food without being rushed then all the sudden someone else comes on the speaker and I can hear them laughing in the background. So I finally get up to the window and they take my card I pay for the food and the young blonde girl says would you like a free chocolate milkshake so I said sure Thank you... As she handed me the chocolate shake her and a couple other girls in there were like laughing and smirking which made me feel as if did they do something to the shake??? Anyhow I end up getting my food and the way it was prepared was absolutely sickening I mean the meat was hanging off the bread overlapping it when I opened My foiled wrapped hamburger I was really in shock.
This message goes out to the management or the individuals who own this cookout I asked kindly to get rid of the bad apples before Your drive-thru looks like the sonics across the street... Zero customers 98% of the time. All three of them blonde bimbos should be fired for acting so stupid!
Anyhow with that being said I feel confident that the management will take control over this situation and wing out...
Read moreI’m gonna be the one to say it, I this this Cookout is over rated. 1.I took my son and his two friends late night. The guy on the drive thru greeted us and asked how he could help us. I gave the entire order for four people. It goes silent for just a minute then he comes back and says “I’m gonna need you to repeat all of that. I was busy helping another customer.” So why’d you ask me what I wanted? I don’t mind waiting at all. 2.The same night, 2 of my 4 orders were completely wrong. Food missing and the wrong food entirely. There was ZERO syrup in one of the drinks, just all carbonation. I know you can’t see that usually but you can 100% hear it when it happens because the drink machine starts making noises. 3.The drive thru itself is absolutely ridiculous especially when hen the restaurant just opened and they knew it’d be swamped, because let’s face it, Gadsden floods new places to eat when they open. 4.The burger patties are extra thin and get lost in everything else on there. However they have a phenomenal taste so that does help. Go to Jacksonville Cookout if you want a good...
