Waffle House — Restaurant in Gadsden

All Waffle Houses have certain requirements, such as being in a convenient location, open 24/7, a simple menu, good price, slight stick to the floors and tables, a building that looks like it hasn't seen a handy man in 20 years, and faded decorations from when they opened 40 years ago. The underpaid waitresses who give you fast friendly service with a broken smile. They clank your plate down with authority like a secret code for "ain't putting up with no bs today or else..." I believe each and every one of those hard-working, beautiful women would be just as comfortable brawling in the parking lot as they are handing out eggs and grits inside. Tip your waitresses well and clean up after yourself their job is hard enough. My love for shady looking line cooks is always fulfilled whenever I come to these establishments. With the range from teenagers first job to felon on his last chance you never know who will be cooking your food. (I miss the days when they smoked while cooking) One thing for certain is that the Spatula Angel knows 100 ways to cook a egg and has mastered them all! Your food will come out hot and fast! There's no mistakes made in that kitchen. If your food comes out wrong, it's not because of the staff it's that YOU don't know how to order. Shut your mouth and be happy with what you have. Nobody wants to go to work all day and hear people complaining about onions or pickles on the plate when you didn't ask for any. Pick them off quietly and eat. Attention to management and corporate office .these floors are terrible it is not up to the employees it is up to you too hire outside help to strip and make these floors look brand-new. they look terrible very stained-up.

however the good quality and service of the food that I and my husband received made up for it somewhat . Service and food we're great. I believe when you have good employees you ought to provide for them a well-kept environment . Another thing...the air duct system in the ceiling is very grimy and rusted and dirty-looking. the ceiling in general look stained. I understand that this is not a very high INCOME area... but you should still should have a good work environment for your employees. All of this information that I have to say was solely my opinion. I regularly dine at Waffle Houses, but what stands out to me here is Kandace. She is capable of doing every task in the restaurant, and is a wonderful waitress. She makes sure the food has been cooked to perfection, the drinks are cold and topped-off, and the tables are kept clean. If she is not serving, she is working. The dining experience in her restaurant (for the money) is well worth it. Her food and service always make this Waffle House feel like a second home, and her type of company feel like family.

Revision 2/14/21: (Previously 5 stars) The person that held the restaurant together doesn't work here now. Idk where she is, but things are so much more chaos and curtness from the environment and the staff. I am not a fan.
