I wanted to comment on how unprofessional the employees and the manager were to my niece. She went to Game Xchange in Gadsden with her two young children Friday. While looking for her son a game, the two workers were discussing the Charlie Kirk situation. One of the workers was talking about how Charlie Kirk was shot in the jugular. The other one said “When it happened all I was thinking was man I hope he is dead”. This was within earshot of her and her children. She told her son that she was sorry that he had to put the game back because she was not willing to spend her money somewhere that would discuss things like this in front of young children and to wish death on someone, especially a father with two young children. She told her son they would go somewhere else.
That afternoon she called the store to talk to the manager due to because she was still upset. When the manager (Caleb) got on the phone she explained the situation to him. The only thing he said was, “Thanks for letting us know”. He offered no apology and did not seem to be concerned at all with what happened in the store. After being questioned about what would be done to stop this from happening again, he said it would be addressed and then added again thanks for calling Game Xchange. The manager was more than likely one of the two who was openly talking negatively about the Charlie Kirk situation.
My niece did call a corporate number. She spoke to someone who was very apologetic and said that this should never have happened. She was appreciative of this but she is still upset at the Gadsden store and will definitely not be giving Game Xchange any...
Read moreGreat staff, always nice and upfront, they work really hard to provide good service and help as best they can. The store has a lot of variety so you will most definitely find something you like, but I have a few serious complaints and minor gripes. I've had to return a few games due to them just flat out not working. I understand stuff is trade ins mostly but at the very least they can test to make sure the games actually work. The pricing for a lot of games makes no sense, there is a spiderman edge of time there with a destroyed case, and no manual, but they are charging $80 bucks for it. That's even more expensive than when it was first released over a decade ago. The DS games are a bit expensive too considering most of them are used and have no case or manual with them and are all just laid out in a bin. There console selection is decent but I wish they did a better job cleaning them out and wiping them off. The staff is great but the way corporate runs the store needs a little...
