My husband and I went here to satisfy a craving for Buffalo Wild Wings boneless wings. This location is very busy during lunch, don't expect super fast service if you intend to go here for a quick bite. We ordered 30 assorted boneless wings, potato wedges, and tots. It was buy one get one free day so our order of 30 wings cost the same as an order of 15 ā Our order took about 30 minutes.
The cashier at the take out desk was polite, friendly, and got the order right. We were happy with the quality and taste of the items. The only food related item that we were not satisfied about was the amount of wedges that we received for a "large" serving. We had ordered wedges at the Buffalo Wild Wings Jacksonville location a few months ago and we were more satisfied with the combination of quantity/quality of food at that branch.
As a side note, I was not pleased that the shift manager was rude to my husband during our food pick-up. He came up to my husband, did not even introduce himself, and started to ask my husband questions about why my husband was taking photos of the location. Then he made assumptions about us without any facts to base those upon (i.e. saying we were there much earlier in the day taking more photos inside the restaurant and at the jukebox...we never set foot into that location until that afternoon to order food. We didn't even know there was a jukebox!).
My hubby explained that this was our first visit and he takes photos to post on his personal Google reviews that we make when we visit restaurants. Plus he wants to maintain his two year in a row Top Photographer status on Google Reviews, so he uses the photos on there. The manager misunderstood and thought my hubby worked for Google (we wish) and we (my hubby and I) both corrected the manager that we did not say anything to that effect; we repeatedly said we only do customer reviews ON Google, not FOR them.
Even with that explanation that my hubby was using photos for personal use to make a customer review about the restaurant, that manager still went on about how photos of the location need to be cleared w/ management or Buffalo Wild Wings corporate, proprietary information, he even asked us if we were opening our own wings restaurant (?) and if he could, he'd "delete the photos" (!) from my husband's phone. We were surprised by what he said since we have never heard of this type of policy before in a restaurant and the photos were NOT for commercial use in any form.
We did not react angrily to him; we just politely responded that the photos are not for anything except our first hand, personal Google reviews about our experience here (as we have done at other food places). That last explanation helped the manager understand that we were foodie customers who just happened to enjoy photography of the restaurant (not only food photos).
He was nicer to us before we left than when he initially approached my husband. I would've preferred the manager to be more courteous and customer service oriented (maybe ask "Is there something I can help you with?") instead of appearing accusatory and mildly threatening. His off-putting, rude demeanor is a negative reflection of how he might treat his other customers. If that's how he treats customers, then he becomes a bad example to his employees, who might copy him since he's in a leadership role...it becomes a continuous cycle of rudeness; no one wins and customer service is turned into a disservice.
We hope no one else had to go through this type of treatment here and that this was just an "off" day for that manager. (If I recall correctly, his name was Rick or Eric)
Either way, after all that, there is no excuse to be rude to paying, polite customers. We're not returning to this Buffalo Wild Wings again. No offense to anyone else that gave this place 5 stars, but we were mainly dissatisfied by our awkward interaction with the manager here. Fulfilling our food cravings is not worth that type of unpleasant experience. Next time, we'll travel the hour+ to get our wings at the Jax location or just stay...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām actually in disbelief of how bad of an experience dining here was, Iāve never felt compelled to write a negative review in my life. My group of 3 arrived at 7:30, and ordered drinks after having a minute to look over the menu. Drinks arrived 15 minutes later when we were asked to place our food order. We placed a very simple order of 3 entrees and an appetizer. My meal and the appetizer came out 30 minutes later. I restrained from eating while my friends waited for their food, one arrived 20 minutes later, and the last another 10 minutes after that. In between entree deliveries there were no explanations or apologies for the inconvenience. The last meal that arrived was prepared incorrectly, even though it was ordered with no variations from the menu description. We asked to send it back and opted not to have it replaced due to the excruciating amount of time that it took to get there in the first place. We asked for our checks, promptly gave our cards to process our payments, and when the checks were returned for finalization the receipt I was given did not match the amount that was on the initial copy ($6 was added with no breakdown to explain where this amount came from). It took an additional 15 minutes to get this sorted out, and my card was essentially double charged while the incorrect charged will be refunded āeventuallyā and we left after 9:00. The manager and wait-staff of this establishment were rude, confrontational, and non-apologetic. A 45 minute dinner took over an hour and a half with multiple slip ups and absurd delays. I could see the manager getting called over to multiple other tables implying that everyone in the restaurant was experiencing similar situations. I would give negative stars if possible, donāt come here if you value your time or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLeveraged a Grubhub 50% off coupon for March Madness to get some wings from Buffalo Wild Wings for the first time (buffalo dry rub, buffalo sauce, and Blazin'Ā® Knockout sauce), and a chicken wrap with lemon pepper sauce and fries.
I didn't realize when ordering, but if you do order differently-sauced wings, they arrive in a mostly paper container with in this case three partitions for each sauce's wings. I got 15 in this case, so not sure what the odd wing out is if one orders 10 or 20 this way, say, or if have twosie boxes as well. Anyway, the thick Blazin' sauce was viscous enough that most of it stuck around, but unfortunately a fair amount of the mostly liquidy buffalo sauce got sucked up by the environmentally-friendly paper like a sponge. Not a huge deal.
The bigger deal was the size of the wings. The wing business must be a good business, because while certain hole in the wall Chinese places have tasty wings that while not having as many sauce options are around twice as big for half the price, chain restaurant BWW's are comparatively small the way McDonald's burgers have suffered shrinkflation over the years and gotten smaller and smaller. That plus their normal steep prices on top of delivery means this is just a one-off until the price of chicken wings let alone eggs and other groceries goes down... WHENEVER.
Speaking of Mickey D's, I'd heard BWW uses beef tallow as they do for their fries, and those did not disappoint. The wrap was solid, but the lemon pepper rub was super salty, and if there's a next time I'll opt for pulled chicken given "boneless" chicken in the wild today is inevitably trucked in frozen nuggets reheated and seasoned on site.
Satisfactory first experience but for the regular price point I can't see myself being a...
