I recently visited the Dunkin’ Donuts in Gainesville, Florida, after doing a quick Google search for a nearby location. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't what I hoped for. The building is rather uninviting and has an outdated appearance; it could really use a good pressure wash and a fresh coat of paint to brighten things up.
Upon entering, I noticed the windows were quite dirty, which didn’t set a good tone for my visit. I ordered an iced latte, and when I received it, I was surprised to see it filled to the brim with ice—so much so that I could see it through the cup. The whipped cream barely peaked over the rim, and the coffee itself was well below the line, making it look underfilled.
I decided to try the holiday cookie latte, expecting something festive, but to me, it tasted overwhelmingly like vanilla with no other flavor notes. I was disappointed and won't be ordering that again. I think I’ll stick to my usual caramel craze, which I enjoy more.
I’ve noticed a pattern with Dunkin’ drinks—some are excessively sweet while others can be quite bitter, and this one definitely leaned toward the latter. This inconsistency is why I had stopped frequenting Dunkin’ for about three years. It’s frustrating to order the same drink at different locations and get such varying flavors. Overall, I left feeling underwhelmed and uncertain about returning...
Read moreStopped at this dunkin for a coffee and small bite to eat on our roadtrip. Ordered a small latte, realized I forgot to ask for oatmilk (im lactose intolerant), I asked if they had started my drink yet and they said no, so I asked if I could have oatmilk instead and was totally fine to pay the difference. This one request took down the entire establishment. He had to void my order- didn't know how, then refund me- didn't know how, then ring me up again. While waiting for my NEW order I realized he charged me twice for the old order but only refunded me once. Now the manager has to be called in. We have been in the dunkin for an hour and I don't even want this coffee anymore I'd take a gift card or ANYTHING just to leave. But the manager arrives with her child in tow and sorts it out. Kind of insane to me that switching from regular milk to oat milk caused an hour long delay. If it were me I would have just said "oh yeah no worries I'll just put oatmilk in there for you instead". Sometimes it benefits everyone just to give the customer what they wanted without all the hoopla. But no, they really needed that extra dollar from me for my small latte. Caused chaos for an hour and I know those poor employees were stressed. They were apologetic but this was an insane experience...
