Zero stars would be more appropriate. This morning was my second experience with this location. 1st time it was 5:30am I have to work at 6am and they are two blocks from my work. Only car in drive thru and was finally able to leave at 6 am, worst part is I had my 7 year old who would be at work with me for 4 hours and what? To my surprise they forgot her meal. Fantastic, I was late clocking in and now I have a child that didn't get what she asked for. No big deal right, we only work to pay y'all to have a job as well. But it's okay we don't need what we pay for. So today was my second go round. There by 5:36 am, I asked for a frappe, sorry frappe machine is down, ok. I will just take a coffee then and a biscuit and gravy, sorry we don't have gravy this early. Ok so what for breakfast do you serve this early I ask, everything but gravy she tells me. Ok then, I will take a big breakfast with no hot cakes, she repeats, no hot cakes. Yes ma'am I replied. It 5:52 and I get my bag, I look in it and see hot cakes and no eggs even. I said I'm sorry what's the difference between a big breakfast with hot cakes and no hotcakes? She said the hotcakes, that's all. I said ok, well I have hotcakes, she said well I put in for no hotcakes, I said it doesn't matter. She reaches for the bag goes to the back, comes back at 5:57 With my bag, and I look at it, they removed hotcakes that's all. How do I know because there are still no eggs. I said did all you do is take that back and remove the hotcakes? She said yes, that's the only difference. No ma'am it's not, you didn't even give me eggs and you never take something to the back and remove and resend food out the window. That's standard! I would of asked to speak to a manager, but she was the manager. So like I said, zero stars would be more...
Read moreI very much regret going to the McDonald’s on Dawsonville Highway in Gainesville. I actually never go there, but that was my daughter and her friends a choice before dropping them off at church. It’s our thing every Wednesday. I ordered two meals, a large fry and a McFlurry. We waited a while for the food, I understand. But Jonathan, not sure of his position gave me the bag of food with just the chicken nuggets. When I told *Jonathan the bag only had chicken nuggets, he then argued that the fries were in the bag. Began talking in third person as if I wasn’t standing there to another employee And accusing me of stealing. I was very embarrassed by this because first of all I’m still just standing waiting for the food that I paid almost $30 for and you’re accusing me of stealing and in front of everyone also. I was near the counter the entire time. Accused of stealing French fries was complete and utterly ridiculous. When he discovered the fries truly were never in the bag he then brought the fries with a complete attitude and dropped them in the bag. I spoke with two managers, who then called the store manager explaining literally only half of what happened (obviously not realizing I know spanish. I corrected her. And they refused to refund me unless I gave the food back because that was my request in lieu of calling corporate. At this point theyre already late to service due to this foolery no time to go anywhere else. I will never be back to this establishment and I’m definitely calling corporate and posting here. It was very disrespectful to even just continue letting him work without even making it a coachable opportunity. Pic for attn so more...
Read moreBreakfast staff regularly fails to take orders (literally will not answer the drive thru or window, like today 7-8-2024)
Food is regularly wrong and food tastes poor.
Lunch staff is typically very friendly at least & order accuracy is typically better w/ better quality.
Overall, this location needs some SERIOUS revamp in leadership.
Example: I just sat at the window (again) for 15 minutes with zero response from the staff. Witnessed 8 people pull up & drive off (lost revenue) & when I pulled around to the window to see if something may just be wrong with the PA system, I waited and watched as a couple of employees just stood there and ate their own breakfast and chit chatted. I stayed at the window, dumbfounded, as they completely ignored my presence & walked off from the window area. After another (literally) ten minutes of sitting at the window, watching them walk by I drove off.
Wild times to be alive. God help the disincentivized service industry in America the entitled working class we have these days. Seems no one has even an iota of work ethic anymore.
When I was a young man, I recall having the utmost excitement to have the freedom of a basic income and how good it felt to contribute to society and earn a paycheck in return for those basic services. We have huge problem with the ability to thrive & places like this are a prime example of a much deeper root cause in America.
Best of luck to the business owner of this location. It is marks below other Mc Donalds in the area & I will now intentionally avoid it as there is a history of poor performance at this...
