6/10/23 Cindy is fantastic and fun to talk to. Highly recommend the raspberry ice tea. Also the steaks are great. This place has a great vibe about it. Being a prior call center Branch Manager I think he would make a great supervisor here at Green Steet. He is always on top of things. Food is always great here. Green Street is the best place to eat. 4/20/24 Had lunch down in the Generals restaurant for the Paranormal conference 2024 and got our favorite Landon as our server. He always does a fantastic job. Desoto House did a great job of hosting the conference. 4/27/24 Came back and had Angelo. Very good service and very friendly. The food today was really good. Highly recommend the beef brisket and my fiance had the burger which she said was very good. Love eating here. 9/22/24 Colin is an awesome server. From now on when we come here we are asking for Colin or Jodi. We love coming here. The food is really good. Let's start with the positive. Our server was attentive throughout the meal and made sure we had everything we ordered. The bloody mary was tasty and made with a healthy amount of horseradish.

The negative. The food is quite ordinary. The artichoke and pepper dip is whipped and has no discernible pieces of either artichoke or peppers. The pitas that come with it are fried. In all fairness, we ordered it because we were curious about this, but after tasting it, we would prefer freshly baked pitas. The sandwiches - we had the shrimp po' boy and pulled pork sandwich - were only a slight grade up in quality from what one might encounter on a fast food menu. The shrimp were small with a bit of the fixings and and a drizzle of the sauce. The bbq sauce on the pulled pork sandwich seemed to be premade, not made-in-house. If it is house made, they may want to tweak the recipe so it tastes less like Sweet Baby Ray's. The meal was edible, but not the experience we hoped for while touring Galena. The food here is outstanding, I’ve been here a couple times but the last time I went the service was awful. Me and my group of friends sat outside to eat and it took our server 15 minutes to come to our table and bring us water. We ordered appetizers and changed our minds halfway through ordering about what appetizers we wanted and we made it very clear. It took 15 minutes for her to bring us the appetizers and when she brought them it was the wrong appetizer then when we very politely told her that she brought us the wrong thing she talked back to us. It took about another 30 minutes for her to bring us the right appetizer and our main entree’s. Then about 15 minutes later she can back to give us our bills. Then she disappeared again and when she came back she took our checks then disappeared with our cards for another 15 minutes and when we asked her why it took so long for her to bring our cards back she was very condescending and rude.
