This Tour was amazing 👏 My entire family Thoroughly enjoyed it . My husband was a skeptic, but now believes after he caught spirit orb in his video flitting about the room of the Dowling house and later went to visit Mary Ann Miller and she totally knocked back , my son is my witness and his girlfriends phone froze while trying to video it for snapchat . And as we left the 1 light that's by the American flag lit up just once as if she said goodbye. My husband then went over to the light to see if it was loose and it was not . None of the lights where on before we approached or as we left . Ted is an amazing And enthusiastic storyteller . He definitely knows his stuff , the history and facts that he blends with his stories and his energy makes the experience extraordinary. I Hope Ted , his wife Robyn ( who is also a kind soul . A BIG THANK YOU TO HER 😉) and his Team of storytellers have Many years of sharing this experience with others ❤️. If you don't believe, you definitely will after this 👻 . As I was researching ghost tours in Galena, this company stood out as the one with raving high reviews, and true to that fact they didn't disappoint! Robyn was so gracious in accommodating us last minute to an already packed tour. Although they were sold out, they made sure they can add the two of us to the last tour of the season and allowed us to have an unforgettable experience...lucky us! Tedd, Robyn's husband ran the show, and he is such a good storyteller and a very nice guy. You can tell he knows the history of Galena by heart and really loves what he does. We visited several haunted locations on foot, and although the weather was freezing (30°F), Tedd made sure we had a great time. Overall the tour was interesting, reasonably priced, and very informative! We really enjoyed ourselves and will recommend the Haunted Galena Tour company to our friends and family. If ever we have the chance to go back to Galena again, I'd love to see their show "She Remains" in the DeSoto house. If you have time, also check out their store "A Darkness Lovely" on Mainstreet which sells pretty cool stuff.

Having done ghost tours in many places and at least one other in Galena, we were unsure what to expect with this tour, but Ted delivered an excellent experience both for my wife and I as well as for our eight year old son. The tour is a combination history lesson and spooky storytelling bonanza all delivered with surprising wit and genuine connection to the participants. Having someone with such a clear and strong connection to the community and the history made this tour really stand out among others we have done. We also really appreciated that the focus was on the stories of the people who seemingly haunt the town, and on the stories of the sightings/phenomena, NOT on bouncing EM meters or proving that haunts are real. This was all about the stories, and it suited our tastes perfectly. It was also the first ghost tour for our son, who was creeped out just the right amount. There are certainly some unpleasant things mentioned, but in a way that is not too graphic or too overtly scary. Just the right mix for the younger crowd. All in all, a wonderful experience....
