Awful experience. I went into the bookstore and found a book I had been looking for for months and my iPhone had the audacity to ring. I answered in the corner and was very prompt to hang up. The owner then loudly publicly told me to leave.

I was absolutely appalled. I promptly apologized and said that I was looking for this book for a while and was still asked to leave. Unbelievable. The owner then followed me onto the street and told me everyone applauded him when I was told to leave. Then a separate patron left the store and said that nobody did that and he was making it up and that he also left without making a purchase.

This was an unbelievable experience that the owner of this bookstore told me point blank to, “get out”. I wasn’t quietly asked to step outside. I wasn’t asked to take my call elsewhere. My wife and I were yelled at and thrown out. My wife had the presence of mind to look for any signage indicating cell phones were not allowed in the store and saw nothing.

What a bizarre experience. My husband and I were in looking for a book, when his brother called. He answered the phone and had a brief conversation while I hunted down the title we were looking for. When my husband hung up less than a minute later, a man I can only assume was the owner confronted him and furiously told him to leave the store. It was so out of the blue that at first I thought he must be talking to someone else. As we left the store, I scanned everywhere for any sign or poster indicating that cell phones weren't allowed, which to my mind, would have been the only justification for this reaction.

Worse still, this man wasn't satisfied to see us leave. He actually chased us down the street, continuing to shout at my husband about how rude he was for talking on his phone in a bookstore. I don't know what triggered this man to behave that way but I can only say I wouldn't return to his store if my life depended on it. He was...

Great bookstore! Most bookstores you walk into, you find yourself surrounded by book spines and it's pretty hard to browse around and discover something interesting. This store has tons of eye catching covers on display all over the shelves. It was very easy to see a cover that catches your interest and start investigating it. The quality of the selection was excellent as well.

With most other bookstores I get overwhelmed and leave after hemming and hawing over a title or 2, before seeing their mediocre reviews on Goodreads and leaving. Here, I was able to stumble upon not 1 or 2, but 3, great books that...
