This review is going to be lengthy, but well worth the read if youâre thinking about going to this McAlisterâs (in Gallatin, TN). My mom and I went here for lunch, super excited because I was craving it and it had been a minute since weâve had it. First off, there are way too many young people working there that donât obviously care about customer service because it was unpleasant from the time we walked in until we left. Finally, after someone decided to take our order, I ordered a grilled chicken club and stated no ham and pork AT ALL, Iâm highly allergic with a side and water. My mom ordered the âNew Yorkerâ. Well, after sitting down, we noticed the service was very SLOW. There were many customers whom ordered before us and were seated, but had not gotten their food yet. For a deli shop like this, the food shouldnât take a long time to come out, I mean, itâs sandwiches, soups, salads, etc., We waited a very long time for our food, but didnât leave since we were already seated and my mom had already paid. Once we received our food, my sandwich had BACON everywhere on it, and my momâs sandwich wasnât what she ordered AT ALL. Weâre both highly allergic to pork and we donât know what sandwich they had given her, but it definitely wasnât corned beef on marbled rye bread. Well, after sending the orders back, came another disappointment. They brought the same grilled chicken club back to me with a few bacon pieces taken off, and the sandwich still HAD BACON. They didnât remake the sand which, they just plucked a few pieces off and sent it back to me and Iâm PREGNANT! My mom got my plate and sent it up to the counter and talked to the guy who gave us our food. After three times, our order was complete and made correctly! Before leaving, my mom expressed her disappointments and frustrations to the manager, his name is Joey, at least thatâs what his staff said, because he didnât have a name tag on, but Joey was very rude to her, he was so unapologetic, and did not make us feel satisfied whatsoever. He blamed everything on them being short staffed, not having a staff who knew what they were doing, and etc. and he tried to accuse my mom of lying. This McAlisterâs location is horrible, the service is! Iâve been to many McAlisterâs and have never encountered anything like this. The only pro about this experience was that once they finally got our order right, the food was good. Just wish the service was the same, and forgot to mention that besides us, two other tables had their food sent...
Read moreThe food is seriously delicious. The portions are what I feel they should be for the price. Other restaurants could take notes on Mcalister's when it comes to that. The food tastes fresh and is satisfying. The value is pretty unbeatable in this area in my opinion. Everyone I've encountered that works there has been nice and pleasant. Only down side is that they need to pick up the pace. The previous reviews who mentioned this are correct in that it takes way too long for you to get your food. I have went there 6 times for lunch in the past 2 almost 3 weeks because they're right beside my work and they are too delicious not to get. 5 out of those 6 times either my order was somewhat wrong (asked for no mayo, received lots of mayo), they had a 4 car line at the pick up window with no one there to help (with the line not moving at all for 10 minutes), or when I decided to go in instead they made my food and forgot to tell me it was ready. That time I went in, at the next table I had another lady waiting in front of me to receive her food. We waited 15 minutes, she got up and stated she had to go back to work, I also mentioned I needed my food too as I also had to get back to work. They came out and handed her her food and asked if she wanted them to remake it because it was sitting there for a while and had gotten cold. She ended taking it and hurried out the door. They moved over to the corner and started talking even though I was standing there. I just walked over to that area and said I'd been waiting a while and I needed my food. They handed it to me and I did the same as the lady before me. That's where you lose customer's if your not careful. Today, I got on the app to order ahead and it said online order temporarily unavailable. So, I called and an automated machine took my order. Did all that for it say it couldn't take it and supposedly sent me to someone at the store. The person said they were taking neither online nor by phone orders. So, my husband had to go in. A bit...
Read moreIâm a week out from a total knee replacement, on a walker, we went here for an early supper. I had to use the ladies room. What was I thinking? Apparently thatâs where McAllisterâs employees hang out in the handicapped stall on their cellphones, yes, I heard music. I had to go. Unfortunately, thereâs really not enough room for a person and a walker but I squeezed in. The problem came in standing up. There wasnât enough room for me to use my walker to stand up and nothing to hold on to to stand up. Now my already painful knee hurts worse. To add insult to injury, the teenager that came out behind me went behind the counter and I heard a lot of laughter. Real mature. Iâll be calling tomorrow to see if thereâs an adult that...
