Jacob Jones needs to be recognized as an OUTSTANDING employee. He should be rewarded and recognized immediately. JACOB is running the Broadway Avenue J location by himself tonight and knocking it out with a smile and great customer service, while still putting care into every product that he makes, as always! He is, all-together running his rear end off to keep this restaurant not only running, but ahead, this evening, and still providing EXCELLENT customer service and EXCELLENT pizza. I was hoping to have him make our meal this evening and he was there. It needs to be very well known how much work Jacob is putting in and how much care this young man has for his job and the guests. I would expect that this multibillion-dollar company would immediately take the time out of their day to reach out and give this young man a bonus and/or a raise. I would expect a very large income raise as he was doing the job of three individuals today. Broadway Avenue J is not an average location, this location is always busy and this young man is working three times harder than average. I don't guess that many people would have been able to pull this off . I don't guess that many people would have tolerated pulling that off but Jacob did it with a smile. I would greatly expect somebody to go out of their way to help this young man as he has helped your restaurant stand today. This young man deserves to be paid a double salary because he is doing the job of three people. Every time I come in here I see him working very hard and he still puts out great products and smiles and cares about everybody that comes in. Do not be cheap in rewarding this young man some people deserve to be recognized and Jacob is most definitely one of those people. You are lucky to have him on your team. Investing in this young man would be a great business investment. He blew me out of the water today. Please do not hesitate helping this employee. He deserves it. I will be checking back into this to make sure that he was noticed for his extra extra extra extra hard work today and noticeably everyday. Jacob Jones needs to...
Read moreI love Domino's, everywhere and anytime, whether it is in my home in the East Bay Area or on my travels... my go-to pizza unless I'm in NY. Domino's has great pizza and great sides on the cheap, you can't beat that. What needs much, much work is the management at this location... the supervisor Michael is something else. I've never seen someone give their employees such an attitude when they are trying to do their jobs. I'm of the opinion that if you're in food service supervising, then you need to know how to do the job.
I don't know if this is an outside hire or if he has never worked a customer service or food service job before, but nothing really excuses the amount of verbal hostility towards the other employees. It is clear that the employees know what they are doing. I am not sure what he hopes to accomplish by yelling at them to help him when they are clearly in the best positions they can be in when the store is busy. They are coordinating with each other to get orders done, to handle the line and phones and everything that needs doing. Yet the supervisor, who is scrambling with his own task, yells at them and breaks up a perfectly functioning system... out of the employees I saw, he is the one most unfit for his job and either needs much, much more training to be able to keep up, or should not have gotten that supervision job.
Like I said, the other employees are great, unfortunately I did not catch their names as my ears were too full of the supervisor shouting at everyone, the young man in glasses was very helpful to me however.
Food was fantastic as usual, luckily our order turned out perfectly fine. However, the atmosphere and the service were ruined by Michael...
Read moreThis place is a disgrace!!! We were enjoying a great family weekend in Galveston and thought the kids would enjoy ordering pizza and eating it in our hotel room. I attempted to phone in my order around 8:45pm on Saturday, 7/1. The line just looped through the automated system and periodically would state to continue to hold. I finally gave up and ordered online. I received by confirmation email at 9:07pm with an estimated delivery time: Approximately 15-25 minutes. I decided to wait in the lobby for the deliver...we'll I did just that. Waited and Waited and Waited. I used the Domino Tracker and updated my order to see what was going on. Each time...the delivery time would increase in length, not decrease. The final stated 55 minutes +. What the heck??? It was now 10:15pm and I had had it! The entire family was starving... I finally just loaded up the husband and 3 kids to go pick the pizza up myself OR get a refund. I have NEVER ordered delivery and had to go pick it up myself!!! Seriously. I walk in to the store and there are about 12 other people waiting as well. I told the lady my name and she walks over to a shelf piled with orders and grabs mine. Really? It's just been sitting there. Another lady offers to refund my delivery fee...seriously you should have refunded the entire order. At this point, I just wanted the pizza. The lack of apology and was a disgrace. If you want your order delivered in a timely...
