At the Pho 20 restaurant, as we were gearing up to stay at an Airbnb before taking an Uber to our cruise, we received an incorrect order from a server. In a rush, we didn't check the order until the next day, only to find out that, as vegans, we had received a beef dish instead of the vegetarian meal we requested. We had eaten at Pho 20, and the incorrect order was one of two orders of Lemongrass Tofu with Chilli Pepper and Broccoli combined with Mixed Vegetables and Vermicelli Noodles as the side. This had been a to-go order. We snapped a photo of the wrong order but couldn't contact the restaurant until after our cruise, given they opened at 11:00 a.m. and our departure for the cruise was earlier. When we finally reached out, after our cruise had ended, the restaurant's response was disappointing. We had to take a shuttle from Galveston to Houston, so we had no way to revisit Pho 20. The person on the phone offered to remake the order, a solution which any one would immediately see as impractical since I was already at the Houston Airport, miles away from the Galveston. They also proposed correcting the order on our next visit, despite us residing out of state, and astonishingly mentioned firing the employee responsible for the error instead of issuing a refund. Even though the service from the waitress had been commendable and I had tipped well, the management's approach to rectifying the mistake was neither professional nor customer-centric. She kept mentioning firing the waitress when we merely wanted a good faith solution to our situation. This incident has compelled me to give a poor review of this establishment due to their appalling customer service, which could undoubtedly sour the start of a vacation.

Worst food that we have ever been served over seven years in Galveston. Upon entering the restaurant, you are met with the odor of sewer gas from the restrooms. Egg rolls were overcooked and dry! We ate less than half of each of our entrees because the food was inedible. The vegetables were overcooked and the meats were large chunks of tough coarsely chopped precooked reheated failure for Vietnamese cuisine! The waitstaff, Eugene, was great! Apologetic, but powerless to remove the charges from our bill! Please do not ever try Pho 20 in Galveston!

We definitely won’t be coming back to this place. The food we ordered wasn’t tasty — it lacked seasoning and salt. The spring rolls were completely bland. I would rate the service 1 star. The waiter never smiled at us, walked around looking gloomy, and didn’t come to our table for quite a while. We didn’t feel like welcomed customers at all. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty — now I understand why. On the plus side: the portions were large, the prices were reasonable, the food came out quickly, and there were no issues with parking.

I used to be a customer dining in before I became a full-time server here and I’m gonna leave a 5-star review at this restaurant for customers who are local and newcomers. Any customers who wrote a 1-star review due to me not being friendly enough to the customers, I truly apologize for their dissatisfaction. Any customers who wrote a 1-star review for us having overpriced items that are not up to par and saying that the manager, who is also my aunt, is being rude need to stop. They are just downright delusional so they can talk funny and make our jobs difficult.

This restaurant has been open since 2005 and is the cheapest Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant on the island even though we have raised the price of our items slightly higher and the chefs have been working here for a long time. The items we bought (food, condiments, and containers) are the only expensive things.

If customers are unsatisfied with their dining experience due to the food being not up to par or complaining about the price especially when they are dining in, ordering takeouts, or ordering online, they need to keep it to themselves. If not, then they are just downright slackers, heavy smokers, and stoners, which I'm allergic to. Please do not come here and mess around so we can keep this business running decently in the future.

If customers eat, they pay. If it is not made correctly, talk to us after a bite or so. They can usually have it replaced. If customers had more than a bite or two, forget about scamming the restaurant for something else. If it is something customers thought they would try but unsatisfied, too bad. They took the risk. It is our responsibility to make certain everybody has tried what they ordered.

THIS IS A RESTAURANT.

P.S. Refunds and/or replacement food are upon request for orders in which the food is wrong, omitted, or other similar circumstances. Refunds are not typically provided for a guest that a guest simply...

If I could put less the a star I would… I only put the ONE star because of our waiter. It was only her first day and she did a great job at making me feel comfortable. The taro boba was sweet as hell and has too much ice… we ordered the spring rolls and the were the size of thumb. They were small and only 2 for $5.49?? Crazy. I would’ve happily paid it if I got what I was paying for… but I paid it just because I ate it. I order the beef and meatball pho and it was absolutely horrible. I tried the broth first (that’s how you know if it’s good or not) and right away you could tell it was made poorly. I’ve had better, much better. I ate some of the rice noodles and they were slimy. I set my plate to the side and didn’t even attempt to finish the food. While typing this just know my stomach is turning inside out. I’m reality I only ate like 1 1/2 bites of the noodle and two scoops of broth. I asked my waiter I was ready for the check and i asked if I could get it compd. She advised me the owner had to come out and when she did she had came at me very pushy and aggressive. She said I ordered the food so i have to pay for it. Didn’t argue and just paid. Glad I don’t live here and only came out of the state. Was super excited to try and just left with a nasty taste in my mouth and my stomach. I’m heading out now going to find something to eat… disappointing. Never could or would I handle a customer this way. Food 1/10 service 3/10...
