Great local neighborhood stop for coffee, donuts, or other breakfast items. The apple fritters were fantastic with lots of apple and cinnamon and a little crispness on the glaze. Their muffins are great as well. Many locals stop in each morning on the way to work and school for satisfying their breakfast appetities. You'll see parents stop curbside, and send in the kiddos for the "dirty work". Super cute! Very friendly and helpful staff in this nice little local donut shop, surrounded by some nice historic buildings and sights, and still reasonably near beachside hotels. Definitely worth a stop during your early morning travel.

Loved this place! Definitely seemed like a lot of locals go here. Got the sausage & cheese kolaches with both the crusty croissant type dough and the regular dough (I prefer the regular dough but both were good) & my favorite thing was their egg, sausage, potato & cheese taco with fresh salsa. I wish I had gotten more. Also tried their glazed donuts & blueberry muffin & both were yummy. Will definitely go back for more breakfast tacos & kolaches when I’m in town. Service was also fast & friendly

My son wanted a Big Pink Donut (like in The Simpsons) instead of a birthday cake. We went to our favorite donuts palace to make a special request… And they delivered… BIG! The donut was DELICIOUS, PINK and BIG! Been coming here for well over 20! Friendly faces, great customer service and delicious donuts. Best donuts on the island. Kolaches, burritos, cake/filled/iced donuts and a lot of drink choices. Keep Galveston Local!

We came in as our last stop before hitting the road back to Dallas. Unfortunately the service we received was subpar. The Hispanic lady with the RBF not only rushed us but made a mistake and then sat up and talked about us to another customer about how people just don't pay attention after we pointed to exactly what my son wanted & she confirmed but never gave him the bag. Once we told her he didn't get it, she just graabed a random kolache & threw it in the bag. We didn't want what that. We waited patiently as she helped other people & essentially avoided us until she finally asked what we needed. Instead of professionally replacing the incorrect item she spoke badly about us and rudely threw the item on the counter. We were never rude or disrespectful to her and don't appreciate being treated in...

If you live in Galveston, you are SO LUCKY to have a place that has as many different delicious things to eat under one roof. I lived in Galveston for 8 years and enjoyed kolaches and other treats from Donut Palace as often as I could (without becoming 300 lbs). Amazing staff, great prices, the BEST breakfast food you will find anywhere in the USA. Take it from me: I moved up north to Chicago, and although there is great food here everywhere, there is nothing like Donut Palace and it makes me want to weep. Highly...
