Where to start:
Atmosphere: outside from a night walking around downtown. They had the music playing. The outside looks so bright and festive on the dark streets. There was a lot of people out walking around as it was St. Patrick weekend. Looks like a great stop and they also have some outside seating. Inside is kinda small but it's still plenty of space for small groups of 5 or 6.
Food: we had the birria and comes with consume which I love. the tacos were tasty and good. We also had an order of regular tacos. They were also pretty good. Would I order from here again in Galveston. Absolutely. The food is amazing. I do recommend. We had 3 orders of birria. I asked prior to ordering if they came with beans and rice and was told no. it came with consume, which was delicious. We also had an order of tacos and 2 drinks. I can't remember the total because I paid cash and could get a receipt but I did get a receipt for the 2 drinks and it was $7 and some change.
Service: the guy working the counter is not very friendly. When asking questions about the menu he seemed annoyed. He also got upset when I asked for my receipt. Started turning the register around telling me it was broken and he couldn't do it. It's fine. Sometimes stuff happens but as the customer it's not my fault it's broken. Just simply apologize and move on.
Parking is a little difficult if you're not looking to pay and hang out downtown for a bit.
Overall. Would I stop here again. For the food, yes. The atmosphere, yes. I will even say yes to the service.... maybe he was just having a bad night. I'm all for...
Read moreYou walk up and see outdoor seating & cute lil plants which pull on my heart strings. Entrance is pretty hip. Open door and it's surprisingly small but the vibe it gives off is super rad. You walk up to register and you can see chef cooking food as you order. Super clean in lobby and kitchen. Love the hip wall paintings and they have sports on t.v. We ordered the guacamole and it was served in cocktail glass with chips and pork skins. I'm picky about my guacamole because at most places you can taste the preservatives. NOT HERE!!!! THEY MAKE IT FRESH & it shows So we ordered 2 sets of street tacos and chicken quesadillas. Cardi Asada & chicken were off the chain, pastor was a tad bit salty but I'm sensitive to salt. Everything was awesome. They even had a good selection of of drinks. Lastly the staff was awesome. Super helpful, inviting & helpful. Even bumped into the chef at the local grocery store later that day and treated us like hometown regulars. We will definitely visit again soon. Nothing but good things to say...
Read moreWas looking for a non tourist trap local place to eat after a cruise, so we stopped in for a quick bite to eat. The owner greeted us with a very friendly hello and explained the menu. We received our two orders of street tacos, chicken, steak, and pork, which were all delicious. They came with a small side of beans, which were incredible as well. It's possibly the best I have had.
It's a small, what I would imagine take out since it was counter service and seating was limited to four, four-top tables. I believe our two orders of tacos which was four tacos each and three Mexican Cokes came to around 27.00.
If I lived in the area, I would frequent this restaurant...
