New Shin Restaurant — Restaurant in Garapan

Since the closure of Poon's Restaurant, Diamond Chinese, and even the location change of the original owners of Double Chinese, I have finally found a place with delicious dim sum, rice noodles with beef, steamed parrot fish, sweet and sour pork where I can sit down and enjoy myself. I highly recommend eating here. Service is super friendly and everything tastes delicious. The parking here is not the best but you can park on the side of the road of I Love Saipan or even just park by Garapan Elementary School and walk. I promise it will be worth it. This place is open Monday through Sunday. The atmosphere is family friendly, food is affordable and food is flavorful and just as I remembered. I'll be back soon. I had been searching for the best hot and sour soup on the Island. Well, I found it at New Shin Restaurant. New Shin is located in Beach Road in down town Garapan. It an easy walk from almost anywhere in Garapan. I was treated to quick and friendly service. My soup was served perfectly hot with a side of fluffy sticky rice, yum. I was also given a delicious dish if pickled papaya, treat. My portion was huge, more than enough...

Great food! Limited store hours but that is common in Saipan. Tried the fried rice with mapa tofu and the chicken clay pot. Must recommend the chicken claypot. Just keep in mind that it takes a bit for any claypot dish. Mapa tofu has a pretty strong scent of mala but it was also good!
