Winchell's Donut House — Restaurant in Garden Grove

Should be 1 star but upgrade to 2 stars because there is a tall cute girl works in front. I come here on the weekends for breakfast sandwich only.

If you would put this dirty rag in your mouth you’d feel right at home coming here for any prep sandwiches.

Also if you order ahead online, there is 50/50 chance one of the key ingredient (any meat, avocado, etc) might be out and your meal will not be ready or they will make random sandwich and tell you no refund.

I knew the risk by ordering ahead since it had happened to me multiple times in the past, but i also did not want to wait in the long weekend morning line here.

And Of course my meal wasn’t ready because key ingredient is out with few other stuff so i asked whatever was available and custom made my sandwich.

This is when i noticed the dirty rag in the meal prepping cutting board, the lady working the order would grab this rag and wipe down the cutting board and grab all the ingredients to start making new order…. Hmmmm was she wearing the gloves only cus of the dirty rag?

At this stage my stomach and my brain started arguing but i just woke up and needed something for my hangover so my stomach won that argument. My own custom made sandwich was delicious, do i have slight stomachache? Well hell yeah, is it a diarrhea type? Well see, we will see….

Read Please and Stay Focused , this morning my stomach began Growling for Tasty and Delicious Winchell's so on my Journey to Physical Therapy I just had to stop at Winchell's Donuts ,while on my Journey !!! However ,as you enter this Heavenly Winchell's Donut and Breakfast (genuinely Mouth Watering Sandwich's and Donuts ) ,all are greeted with Genuine Smiles from these extraordinary team Players and especially Ms. Samantha other workers ,the , atmosphere is calm and Stress free and no attitudes allowed , (please Leave attitudes in the parking lot or your Car ),cause when you see those fresh and HUGE Cinnamon Rolls and Donuts and ,smell of Fresh Coffee ,trust me you will be Heavenly Awaken and you should experience one of your Better Days at work or whatever Journey you may be challenged with !!!!! In closing Huge Thanks to all of these outstanding employees and Cooks, and I hope these few compliments will encourage others to share their opinions and recognize the SHINE of Winchell's Donuts Employees and Cooks !!!! My wife and I stopped by this Winchell for lunch because we were in the plaza at Vons to get some flowers. I wanted a bagel and looked on their website first that they actually sell bagels. When we came they were not busy at all. I saw some donuts out and some bagel but didn't see any blueberry bagel so I asked the lady working if they had any and she said they do. So I got my blueberry bagel, toasted and asked for cream cheese on the side. My wife got her Mac and cheese crossiant. We waited inside for them to call our number. When I looked at my receipt, I saw that the cream cheese is price more than my blueberry bagel which surprise me. Sitting inside of Winchell isn't ideal because it's humid and feels like they didn't have the AC on. When our order was ready, we ate it inside since we got a table. They have limited seating inside here. I thought my bagel was over toasted and didn't taste that good compared to another bagel shop I go to.
