Ok. 10/10 on their food. That first bite of the Spicy Royal West was a soft explosion of flavor and nothing was dry. It has an over easy egg, a Korean seasoned beef patty, grilled onions, pickles (pleasant bite!), herb seasoning of some sort and a soft buttery bun. Ofc the husband and i swapped to taste the other's egg tuck choice. He had ham and cheese with fluffy scrambled eggs. It too was delicious, but i think the Spicy Royal West had a lot more flavor. We also got tater tots with the spicy aioli sauce. Tater tots are cooked the right way, with a crunch on the outside. Nothing was soggy.
To order, it is a self serve counter order with 2 touch screens. It did ask for tip, but they legit call your name to pick up and don't take your order, so that part is strange, but becoming the norm, i guess.
The place is roomy but super warm on a summer afternoon even with the shades pulled down. My guess is their AC isn't really working well bc even the last business owner had the place at the same temp. Hot. Not a lot of decor but it's just warm. Maybe it'll be...
Read moreThere's a new store in the neighborhood! I'm not a morning person, but I woke up early on a Saturday just to try Egg Tuck. Prior to this visit, I wasn't aware of the concept of an "egg sandwich."
I ordered ham & cheese (without cheese) and sauces on the side for take out. The brioche buns are very buttery and the eggs were fluffy and flavorful (with a hint of chives). All the flavors mesh well together, especially if you add the sauces as you work through the sandwich! The drinks here are only available iced. The New Orleans Latte that I ordered was so-so. Coffee was weak and it was a little sweet.
Orders are self-service and handled through tablet. There are tables and plenty of counter-style seating.
Though interactions were limited, I felt friendly, positive vibes from the staff, so I think the service could be great.
Next visit, I'll probably order the ordinary egg sandwich (with sauces on the side), since the highlight is the egg. I think this place could be a great brunch, since they're...
Read moreI’m very confused with the reviews. I kind of got the idea that they were a new location, but I assumed they were open for a few weeks now. I came today around noon and they kept asking us to wait 20 mins to order in person or online. After more than a hour later, we were told that they may open online/in-person ordering but can try again in 30 mins. They said today was their first opening day and did not have enough food, plus they did not want to overwhelm their kitchen staff. I got upset when she mentioned that they were taking Uber Eats/Door Dash every now and then but not able to take in person orders yet. Personally, I understand it’s their first day but I think they could’ve handled that better and been honest with me from the beginning. I suggest going to other locations because the food is amazing!! I would possibly consider coming to this one in the future, when they have their...
