I visited the Alpaca location in Garner for the first time today with my aunt and was amazed by how amazing my first experience went! From the moment I stepped in the worker at the front greeted us with a big smile and asked us how we were. I noticed everything was very clean, the Latin music made me feel like I was at home away from home. All the employees were super friendly and gave me and my aunt their advice on what to get for lunch. Luis was so helpful he even offered us free samples when we were deciding to get something to drink. The Horchata drink is 10/10 and for food I got the Lomo Saltado also 10/10. My aunt got the Quinoa fresh salad and said she loved it. I went over to tell the one of the workers that I had recently moved from Canada and it was my first week here in NC, I happened to be talking to Luis. After we finished our meal he came over and gave us some Alfajores on the house since it was my first time visiting the Alpaca chicken store having come from so far up North. The Alfajores were so delicious. Now I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other options on the menu!!!!This is by far the best meal I’ve had since moving to North Carolina. Everything was so fresh and tasted so flavourful, I highly recommend all who want a good meal and to eat in a welcoming environment to give the Alpaca chicken Garner location a visit.

Tried some Peruvian charcoal chicken. And I'm going to have to say it's probably the best chicken and rice plate I've had. I got myself the Pollo saltado: charcoal chicken with cut Roma tomatoes, onions served on fries and olated with white rice garnished with cilantro. The stock that was collected in the fries was very reminiscent of a dish from my mother's house but mixed with new ingredients was a flavor journey. Everything hit just right and the finish of fries holding all that rich flavor just ended it better. To wash it down I also ordered some chicha morada, a corn based drink unique to Peru. And man was I sad I didn't get a second cup because it was gooood. This cinnamon and lime followed the fruity taste of the drink giving a Rollercoaster of mellows and sweets on the palate. A side of mashed yuca fried for a crispy texture was a one up on my favorite "fry" the sweet potato. It has the same consistency of a potato but that subtle sweet. I could eat these nonstop. The atmosphere was very nice with large amounts of natural light available and good music made it a pleasure to dine in. Definitely a good place to grab a bite and recharge.

This place is absolutely delicious and they have an outside, which is a must for us right now. I've been here a couple of times so far and have not had anything that was bad. Their chicken is absolutely wonderful in every preparation that I've tried it and we usually get a couple of dishes each time. We decided to get the steak that is served over the top of fries (I forgot the actual name of the dish) and it was delicious. The fries soaked in the juice which made it even better. My children even ate these green beans! They are absolutely fantastic and the other picture is of something called 'chop chop'. It was great as well with chopped chicken and a pico mix with some corn and black beans over Jasmine rice.

[Update: A representative from Alpaca Chicken connected with me and I was pleased by the dedication and care the team demonstrated when they reached out. I was surprised, in a good way, by their response. Due to this action, we will continue to patron this restaurant as it was (is) one of our favorites.]

Alpaca Peruvian chicken was one of my favorites places to eat because the food was consistently good. I am not happy with the customer service I received recently when our take out order was not correct. We try to remember to open the bag and check the order before going home (orders have been wrong before), but my husband did not inspect our orders before leaving the restaurant. We ordered the Arrow Chaufa with an extra 3.25 oz of chicken for an extra $1.75. When we got the order home, there wasn't an extra 3.25 oz of chicken as there was barely ANY chopped chicken in meal at all. I called the restaurant and requested a refund for the $1.75 and the person working there said the manager prepared our order and knows there was extra chicken added. She wanted us to drive 15 minutes back to the store to show there was no extra chicken added to the meal. I measure food all the time and am very aware of what 3.25 OZ of chopped chicken looks like and it was not added to the meal. I told her we were not able to drive back because we were eating and it was too far and frankly not worth it. They refused to refund us the $1.75. We spent over $30 on our order. I am extremely disappointed in how this was resolved. We used to eat at this restaurant about once a week, but I will not be going back even though we really like the food. This was horrible...

First time coming here . And from the start the experience was not pleasant the lady taking our order seemed rushed . And when I asked if they have any kid items she said no . I would assume she would give me any recommendations but just stared blankly. Customer service was not the best . After waiting 30 + mins and we still had not received our food turn out they had placed it as a to go order . Our food was cold and didn’t enjoy our food which ended being about $78 šŸ™ƒšŸ™ƒ .food was heavily salted( steak) and really would not recommend . The chicken was okay . As I was leaving saw a lot of employees just chatting around on their phones , laughing ,hugging and then saw others actually working . Could explain why they did a careless mistake as making a dine in orderā€ to goā€ and didn’t even offer an apology. Just said is it okay if it’s in a to go plate … don’t think we had much choice . I would suggest to really have management pay more attention to staff to make sure people are getting excellent service also maybe have a better way to explain people how the ordering process works . As my first time it felt like a chipotle line without me knowing it was going to be that kind of experience. I assumed I go in sit down order and the food is brought out . No signs or verbal explanations . And again ur servers are ur face and first...
