I really like Their chocolate skalies And I would say the atmosphere of this place is very 1960-ish kind of vibes for it to be downtown Geneva but some of the other businesses around the area also kind of give off a very pastime look that doesn’t Look very up to today’s styles of how businesses look, especially food bakery, whatever you wanna call it. Also, the lines could be better because there’s always seems to be a line out the door and it’s because people are wanting to get the ice cream and I think that there should definitely be a organization of the lines. I feel like if they could make the building itself a little bit bigger, or if they could Separate the lines of one counter people purchasing ice cream and the other counter of people purchasing just chocolate or candy in general would be so much more quicker and getting customers out and lessening angry customers that are impatient of waiting, but that’s just a suggestion if the company owner ever read these reviews. Also, I think that during the daytime they should definitely have more so the older adults running the counter because it seems like they have the teenagers running it all day and night and some of them just don’t have a sense of what customer services and that’s understandable because who knows it could be their first job, but I think that definitely needs to be more of The older crowd during the daytime hours and the younger teens at night. I also don’t really like the idea of the patio chairs outside of the establishment. I just noticed how people are very disrespectful and throwing their trash on the property and they just shows how ignorant people can be no matter the town/city I get that they want it to be like a relaxing experience, fun experience sitting outside with family and friends, but I don’t think that is going to benefit because it just looks like it’s creating a mess outside of the establishment, but that’s just me. I feel like there really shouldn’t be any patio seating. Especially for those not respecting the property itself, but purchasing products from the property.Overall, this place has the potential of being something extraordinarily bigger than what it is. I know they have a location in Wheaton. I have not yet tried that one and I’m not sure if it’s almost similar atmosphere as the Geneva location but the company has very high potential of becoming much bigger than what they are and I just hope that they take in consideration of what the consumers are saying because that’s only going make you better in the long run and it’s going to benefit you financially as Well, also the people saying it’s expensive…you’re going to pay for what you’re asking for and if you’re asking for a lot then you’re going to end up paying a lot,if you’re asking for less you’re going to pay less.I think that the products are worth every price as well as they weigh before they actually price it, now far as the ice cream goes I don’t know how that goes but for the chocolates they weigh everything you pay for the weight it is, so I feel like that’s reasonable and it seems to be fair . What continue to come and get the chocolate Skalies Because they taste very good and very rich in One...
Read moreBought $200 worth of mint meltaways tonight. Waited 30 min.while they were packaging my order. Peaked in back to see 4 workers huddled around my order rubbing each chocolate before placing them in the boxes. Asked about it and was told they were rubbing white coconut oil residue off each piece. I said “that means it’s old”. They said “no, it’s not old”. Asked if they had any without white residue they could give me instead. They said the did. But they moved the packaging of my order around the corner in back out of sight. I asked them to confirm the chocolates they were selling me had not had white on them at any time. They confirmed. Asked if I could bring them back if they were not up to par and was told no. I open one of the $50 boxes at home and saw 10 of the 36 pieces have white residue. At $1.40 a piece one should be confident in the quality of chocolate and the service should be trustworthy. The whole thing was shady and deceitful and not what I expect from Graham’s. On top of that it took an hour to complete my order. You’d think they could’ve comped the IceCream cone I ordered with my $200 worth of old chocolate for keeping me so long, trying to pawn off old chocolate on me, lying about it, then sneaking the old chocolate into my order out of sight while insisting it was from a “different box” that had no old white film on the very expensive chocolates. We’ve been regular customers of Graham’s for over 20 years. Always treat our guests to Graham’s and buy large orders of chocolates around the holidays. But this experience has us not interested in continuing our patronage any longer. And I’ll warn off friends and family as well. No excuse for lying and engaging in sneaky practices. Especially when they’re selling point is superior chocolate and service....
Read moreGraham's Fine Chocolates has been the ONLY place I will buy truffles or any fine chocolates for that matter. They have the most interesting and delicious variety of truffles I have found anywhere. They have 2 locations, one in Wheaton, IL and the original in Geneva, IL. The shop in Geneva has huge picture windows all around the kitchen area so if you are lucky and happen to be there at the right time, you can watch them making all of their exceptional treats!!! My current favorite was a mango passionfruit truffle on my last visit a month or so ago. My all time favorite was a seasonal truffle, blueberry cardamom, that was incredible!!!! I always ask for it now, but it hasn't returned just yet. They also have a large variety of other chocolates as well as regular candy and fresh hand dipped ice cream, shakes, sundaes and malts. Also incredible caramel honeycrisp apples in the fall!!! They have a very nice selection of sugar free chocolates and candy too!!! They have a large variety of chocolate molds and will make adorable party favors for baby and bridal showers or any other party that could use some chocolate. My last visit I bought a chocolate shaped acoustic guitar in milk chocolate that my son loved!!! I have been eating Graham's chocolates for around 25 years and will not be stopping any time soon!!!! The prices are a little higher, but with chocolate you get what you pay for. I am very willing to pay a little extra for...
