This Was The Worst Experience At A Restaurant Ever! I Ordered The Trio Fajita Dinner That Came With Steak, Chicken, And Shrimp. The Steak Was Either Cooked Frozen Or Had Freezer Burn Because It Had A Pink Color In Some Spots But Everywhere Else The Steak Was Brown And Rubbery. I Asked My Waitress, Who Was Very Nice, To Allow Me To See A Manager About My Meal. She Agreed That It Was Not Pleasant. The Table Next To Mine Said That She Ordered The Same Meal And Her Steak Was The Exact Same As Mine. My Husband Even Said That It Tastes Horrible After He Tried To Chew The Steak. The Manager Came By And Asked Me What I Thought Should Be Done. I Told Him If He Could Make Me Another. He Said He Couldn’t Because They Were Out Of Shrimp. I Said Well May You Discount This Meal. He Said Ok And Walked Away. No Apology. Nothing. The Waitress Brought Me The New Ticket And I Was Shocked To See It Was Discounted By Only $2!! I Asked To Speak To The Manager Again. The Table Next To Mine Said That Their Meal Was Discounted $3. I Was Very Upset. I Asked The Manger If He Would Eat This Meal To Which He Replied, “ It’s Not My Meal. It’s Yours.” I Responded, “ I Understand That. But If This Meal Was Made For You Would You Eat This?” He Laughed And Said “ I Asked You What Did You Want Me To Do And You Said Discount It So I Did.” I Looked At Him Said That “There Is Nothing In This Establishment That Is $2. And This Meal Could Have Made Me Sick!” And He Gave Me A Look Of Nonchalance & Walked Away! I Am A Server And Bartender Of More Than 7 Years And Never Have I Treated A Guest In This Manner Nor Have I Seen A Manager Act In This Manner. Ever. Do Not Come To This Establishment Unless You Want To Be Treated This Way.

This wasn't our best dining experience however I'm a firm believer in focusing on the positives. So let's start on the most severe of the negatives. I ordered a sweet tea with lemon and unfortunately the tea had that very old taste that it does if the pot has not been cleaned properly or the tea has sat for too long. So I instead just requested an iced water which arrived in a very dirty glass. See pictured. Unfortunately our appetizer arrived in less than "appetizing" condition. It looked as though it had been taken straight out of the microwave and placed upon the plate. Also pictured. My young daughter wanted the chicken fingers plate with french fries and in the past I've been able to add a small side of macaroni and cheese however today I was told that I had to order two entrees in order to get the side of macaroni. See pictured. Not really worth $6.49 but the kid enjoyed it all, except the extra dry chicken fingers, so not a major problem. Unfortunately the shrimp and chicken was also pretty lackluster. Although it arrived to the table sizzling like it had come off the grill shrimp tasted like they also had come out of the microwave. However there were some positives. My significant other truly enjoyed his burger and fries. Our waitress Laurren, although seemingly quite over worked, was trying her absolute best and delivered our meal in a timely manner. So unfortunately not the best dining experience it's definitely not the worst. Will be sure to complete the survey and utilize the $10 off $40 soon.

In addition, if you go at night after 10pm they will make you wait for a long time just to be served because they will selectively shut down certain sections of the restaurant. This is super annoying and horrible customer service just because the staff doesnt want to work. They think its appropriate to pre-clean an area 3 hours before they actually close and make customers wait to eat bc there are only small sections left in the entire restaurant that they will allow you to sit and eat. If you see the pics below you will see the chicken finger plate that they had the audacity to serve. The food came out like warm and the chicken looked like it had been fried for hours to the point that you couldn't bite into it and there was barely any chicken. The shrimp fajitas came out and the tortillas were served ice cold.

Although there's police there on the weekend. Someone broke into two cars causing damage to the windows (pulled them out the frame ) and caused bodily damage (scratches and dings). The food and drinks aren't worth paying your insurance deductible or out of pocket expense. This location isn't safe for patrons.

Reached out to the restaurants area director who offered an apology but no help in repairing my car.. Stating their insurance doesn't cover incidents of this nature. Didn't even offer a discount on my next meal, a free meal or drink. Absolutely nothing in an attempt to offer to make me even partially whole. This wasn't the objective but a gesture of empathy for an incident on your property would've showed more care.

I'm posting this so other patrons are aware. This happened 10/19/24. I parked 3-4 cars away from the police officer, virtually in front of the building across the parking lot, when I arrived and this incident happened between the time he (police officer) departed and the restaurant's closing.

This area is not safe from vandalism. Just imagine someone as brazen as this. If I'd walked out in the middle of his crime. My family would be making this post instead of me. Luckily, no with God's grace he missed the gun I'd tucked away prior to going into the restaurant.

Lastly, criminals are in our midst just waiting to make you a victim. Stay aware.. be safe Clayton County.

EDIT to add response to owner on 10/24/24: I've reached out to Applebee's corporate office who stated the information surrounding this incident would be passed on to the franchise owner. Therefore, I've been contacted with no resolve from the franchise. I've spoken to the "AREA" Director with no resolve. The franchise manager and any other person's I've spoken with have been of no help. The appearance of concern after my review is not resolution and I want the people reading this to know. You all already have my information and the people in my area should be warned!!!! You should instruct your people to reach back out to me with a solution. ...

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! Myself and a group of friends decided to dine in at this restaurant and from the moment our drink orders were placed the service was HORRIBLE! In the beginning I could not figure out if it was our waitress's first day or if she was just that incompetent. She did not bring everyone the correct drink order (we also had a child with us and she neglected to bring his drink all together) we had to remind her twice that everyone did not receive their drinks. Once she took the order for our entree's she returned 3 times to confirm the orders that were placed, we did not receive our appetizers until 45 mins later and someone ordered a salad (which was not received until after the entree was brought out). Once our entree's were finally brought out, my husband's burger did not have lettuce, tomato or bacon and he ordered a BACON BURGER ( I thought it was the burger for the baby!). Someone ordered a margarita and explained to the manager that it was not made properly and he took 5 mins trying to explain to her that the bartender made the drink right and whatever Applebee's she previously visited did not make it correctly! Once it was time to give us our bill(s) it literally took our waitress 30-40 mins to bring our tickets only to see that all of the orders were mixed up, once we made her aware of that it took another 15 mins for her and the manager to re-print the tickets only to see that everything was still incorrect. After the hour of dealing with that issue alone we decided to leave and just settle out whatever was unpaid and figure it out ourselves ANOTHER manager approached us not to worry about two of the items that were not on the bill. So in conclusion, from our whole experience it was not just the waitress's incompetence it was the entire staff! and to add insult to injury no one seemed truly apologetic about the whole ordeal , only the manager that came out at the end but the time it took to resolve the issue...
