I drove 40 minutes to this location to meet a friend for brunch before she caught her flight to go back home. Upon arrival, I learned they advised there would be a 30-minute wait for our party of 6. We waited beyond that, so we checked back in to see how much longer. We were told the table was being prepared yet still waited another 10 minutes. The host, Dejuan, was very pleasant, professional, and respectful. He sat us, and after approximately 4-5 minutes, Desiree approached our table. We told her we had been waiting and wanted to order, so she took all of our orders immediately. She swiftly came back with drinks, so I felt like everything was back on track. After sitting for the next 30 minutes without refills nor food, or a check-in from the server, I began to grow impatient. The 2 children were getting antsy and complaining about hunger. I allowed about 10 minutes to expire, and then I asked the host, Dejuan, to please get a manager for us. Tia came, and I explained the dilemma. She advised that she would go check to see what was going on. After ANOTHER 10 MINUTES, Tia nor the server had returned. I got up and went to the door area and asked to please speak to a manager because, in all honesty, at this point, I'm hangry!!! I was also shocked because I frequent Cracker Barrels, and I've never had such bad service. Amelia came out, and she was very dry, lackadaisical, and seemed quite uninterested with no concern. She, too, said she'd check on the food. As she and I were speaking, Tia came back out and said it was coming now. I told them the lack of communication was appalling. I have worked in hospitality, so perhaps Desiree was in the weeds or forgot to ring in the order, but THE GUEST SHOULD NEVER SIT WAITING WITHOUT SOME COMMUNICATION!!! The food came out, and my pancakes were cold. My daughters hash brown casserole was luke warm, and 2 guests were missing items. They brought the missing items, and Tia offered a bill adjustment for the inconvenience. We got boxes bc again, someone with our party had to catch a flight. Bill comes, no adjustment. Now we are at the cash register, and the cashiers can't get Tia to the front. Amelia comes up there WITH THE SAME STANK, LACKADAISICAL ATTITUDE (TRULY UNBELIEVABLE), and walks away without resolving it to get Tia. I still can't understand why she even came up there and who made her a manager. Another cashier came over to ask what was going on. I gave her a swift rundown, and she said she thinks AL can help. He was another MOD who came up to assist and was very attentive, understanding, apologetic, and professional. I honestly wish he was the only manager we dealt with as I feel the overall experience may have been better. If you look at my reviews, you will see I dine out frequently, and this is by far one of the worst experiences I've had in a while. The lack of accountability and communication was HORRIBLE. The food at this location was subpar as well. I will never return but...
Read moreThe best Cracker Barrel I have been to yet! Andddd I go to a lot while I am traveling. The second runner up would be a location I visited in TN. I was on my way to the airport back home in NY after visiting family in GA. Why is this Cracker Barrel rated so poorly as an overall rating?
We stopped in for a late breakfast on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024. The food was HOT. We have never been to a Cracker Barrel and our food being hot. I actually always have to send it back to be heated up every visit at all the other locations (downside that I have recognized throughout the years).
The air conditioning here is blasting and it makes it very comfortable to get out of the summer heat. If you have a sweater in your car, I'd bring it!
I ordered the build your own breakfast:
Fried Catfish (Perfectly crispy and fish quality was delicious) with tarter sauce and lemon Scrambled Eggs (Cooked perfectly) Cheese Grits (The best - it was a great balance of creamy and the cheese was layered nicely and melted).
The biscuits were so fluffy and the gravy had so much flavor. After trying this amazing location, I am not sure how I am going to feel about the other locations. I will still enjoy but I've been spoiled here. I will certainly return and I have told all my family and friends in Georgia and it has only been a few hours.
Our service was amazing and our waitress really kept checking in on us. She was professional and kind. I had about 1/4 cup left of iced tea and she brought me another to enjoy. I ordered 1/2 sweetened and 1/2 unsweetened and it was the perfect balance. My significant other also said the coffee was flavorful and VERY HOT. Just how we like it.
We even had such a wonderful table behind us in prayer and we felt the entire experience was moving. So beautiful to see others in community and connecting.
The gift shop did have some variety and it is always fun to explore. The woman at the cashier was upbeat. They did have a special sale for candies (I was purchasing candy for the flight) and she pointed this out in such a caring and sweet way.
*While I felt like I received wonderful service and delicious food, I was a bit sticker shocked when we received the bill. I feel like the Cracker Barrel prices have gone up so much in the past year since they have upgraded the menu. I hope Cracker Barrel can still keep the quality and not increase the prices too much for families all around the U.S.A.
I do hope Cracker Barrel Corporate will see this because they deserve a shoutout! Thank you to management and the...
Read moreWe arrived at 5:45 and left @ 8:05. Special shout out to Ayana our server and Alysha the manager on duty who did nothing to make this a pleasurable visit. The server was terrible. She walked away in middle of us giving drink orders. She told us she was bringing use biscuits and cornbread after we ordered food when she walked away again in the moddle of taking food orders to check on collard greens, which she stated theybwere cooking, What? Shouldn't they already be cooked!! She told use she would bring use buscuits and cornbread. We waited and when we asked about the biscuits and cornbread muffins 20 minutes later she responded, "You have to request them we dont just bring them out." Do you want some?" Uhm yes that's what you said you were going to do. When we got the biscuit 15 minutes later they were not cooked. Our food food came out after 45 minutes and the restaurant was not crowded at all. Ayana had an attitude the entire visit. She didn't refill our drinks until we were leaving we didn't gwe asked for more biscuits right after the food came out she brought cornbread when we were leaving and then more unbrowned biscuits The food was horrible and cold. The campfire beef was dry and over seasoned with pepper no juice at all. The meat loaf was cold in the middle, green beans were bland and not warm but just pour out of can no flavor no nothing. Country fried steak was okay but the mac and cheese and potatoes were cold, fish dinner was bland and over cooked. After going to checkout and we asked for manager to hopefully get a resolution or something she just looked and smiled and told us Ayana had been ther since 10am well it was 8:05pm and what does that have to do with my service? This was 1st time back in a year and I said I wouldn't go back, well I tried and epic fail on ya'll. Conyers Cracker Barrel needs to work on management Alysha and server Ayana. I leave great tips everywhere I go because I know tips mean alot, however, Ayana did not get a tip from any of us. You all got 1 star because the cashiers were nice. No stars for food. I should have turned around when they were not crowded, that was a sign there...
