Don't fall for the hype. Fluffy Fluffy's fantastic social media presence and professional photography are incredibly misleading. This place is far more expensive than the food and atmosphere justify. You order at the counter like any common fast food establishment. Counter service should not be this expensive Our family of four left with a bill over $120, and that's with a tip. This would be a fair price if the experience matched the advertising, but it falls completely flat.
The Buford location is nothing like the pictures. It's a small shop in a strip mall with limited seating and a confusing identity. Our food, which took about 30 minutes to arrive and came out in waves 5 minutes apart, was a huge disappointment. The portions were small, and the quality was mediocre at best. The poached eggs in the Eggs Benedict were almost hard-boiled, with no runny yolk. The best part of the meal was the tater tots—something you'd expect to get right.
The lack of attention to detail was startling. Meals were served on paper-lined metal trays, like at a baseball game. There were no condiments available, and the plastic utensils were dispensed from a machine like you would see at the stadium trying to move hundreds of customers in a short period of time. Of the three specialty drinks we ordered, two were supposed to be iced coffee or cold brewed, but were lukewarm and bitter. At half the price, the experience might have felt like a fair value.
The staff was friendly and the store was clean and seemed well-staffed, but it can't make up for the poor quality and presentation.
It seems their business model is to get what they can from one-time visitors, because they certainly aren't building a returning...
Read moreThe concept is great and the place itself is cute, but the execution needs work — which is understandable since they just opened and everyone is new.
I tried the strawberry pancakes, but they weren’t my taste. They had a strong egg flavor (and I normally like eggs!), and they were served before my drinks arrived. The strawberry lemonade was small, watery, and not very cold. My Americano coffee was filled to the brim, making it impossible to add sugar or cream without spilling. I added a lot of sugar to make it palatable, but still didn’t care for it.
Food service was uneven, items didn’t arrive at the same time. My “All Day Breakfast” came with one piece of bacon cooked perfectly and two undercooked pieces (which my husband ate). They couldn’t scramble the eggs, so I ordered them cooked hard; they came out like a flat boiled egg, which I actually liked and I didn’t eat the yolks. The tater tots were tasty, and the single pancake with syrup was slightly better than the strawberry stack, but still not a favorite.
The surprise highlight was the small side salad served with the eggs, bacon, and tater tots, fresh, light, and a perfect complement to the plate. It actually turned my mood around for the meal, even though overall it was a light breakfast for me since I didn’t eat much of the pancake.
Great potential here, but I’m hoping they work out the timing and drink quality in the coming months. I would come again and make sure to ask for the...
Read moreMy wife and family came to support their grand opening. We bought the all day breakfast and the all day breakfast sandwich.
They were extremely busy and unprepared. It was about a 20 minutes wait to order, then 50 minutes wait for food. They did give us one free drink, instead of the free cheesecake.
When the food came out, the head chef or manager said that the sandwich doesn't come with sides ($13 for one sandwich). We had paid an extra $3 to "make it fluffy", to add an additional pancake. They did not give us an extra pancake, so my wife had to ask for it. The chef grabbed the nearest pancake and slapped it in the to-go box.
We got back to the car, one pancake was hard and the other was fluffy. The eggs were dry, hard and cold. My wife returned all the food back and asked for a refund, which they were reluctant. The lead cashier told us the pancake that came with the all day breakfast is supposed to be crispy or hard, and that we were supposed to get tots with the sandwich(which we didn't receive).
We paid and was "refunded" what we paid, which was $31+.
It's their first day, so we expected the wait but the order was wrong. The employees didn't know what should or shouldn't be part of the order and were reluctant to give us a refund, even though we returned all the food.
Try at your own risk and maybe try them when they've...
