I recently visited Provino's for the first time at the advice of literally everyone in our group. Being raised by my full blooded Italian grandmother, you don't have to twist my arm much to go to a great Italian restaurant :-) This is a strange review let me preface why.... Walking in the smell was incredible and intoxicating, what I expected after a full day of multiple people talking it up! Our waitress was awesome, friendly and knowledge. We all ordered and after an unusual amount of waiting, our group was commenting that it NEVER normally takes this long, our food arrived, we chalked it up to possibly being shorthanded on a late Sunday night. Two out of the five members food was to die for and perfectly cooked! Unfortunately two Chicken Parmesan plates and my Veal Parmesan plate was literally overcooked and blackened. I'm still giving them a 5 Star, having worked in a restaurant kitchen for years, here's what I think happened... I believe our entire order was easy and just set in the window to be brought to our table. I believe another server grabbed two of the plates thinking they were for their table leaving three of ours in hold under a heat lamp while the kitchen scrabbled to recook the missing plates, understandable. Anyways although the food want up to their normal quality standards, our waitress made the decision to comp our meal without a hassle. This goes a long way, we were not only impressed even though we would have rather just had the plates come out like normal, but we will all definitely be back and we talked a bit about how our waitress took care of us without hesitation. Anyways don't let this hold you back in anyway from visiting Provino's, I could tell by the tables around me this place is normally Italian perfection!

We came here for a birthday party. They sat us at our table early bc they had it ready but not everyone had shown up yet. After seating the early ppl, no one ever came to greet them or take a drink order. Even after the whole party arrived and seated, it was 15mins past our reservation bc we had to go ask someone to come server our table. The salad and garlic rolls are amazing as usual. We had a party of 12 ppl and we had 1 server. He seems very new and did not know what some of the dishes included when we asked. We ordered a chicken francese with lemon sauce and typically that comes on top of linguine but we were brought a side of spaghetti with meat spaghetti sauce on it, to eat with our chicken. We were confused. I then asked for a side of plain noodles so I could mix it with my chicken francese in lemon sauce like I thought it would have came. The food was bland. The calamari was chewy. The tortellini was dry. The server took random drink orders and we kept having to ask for refills as he was not doing it on his own. And even when one of us asked, he never asked if anyone else needed a refill, and he kept having to run back and forth for refills. He was def unorganized. If I come back, it will be for rolls and salad only and def in a smaller group.

We were able to be seated fairly quick, which was nice. We sat for a while before our server came to the table. She did not introduce herself. She literally came up to the table and said, "we have this, this and that to drink. Do ya'll want drinks?". I was already put off by this. Almost like she didn't want to serve us or we were inconveniencing her. We started off with the sampler platter and calamari. The Sampler platter was just that. Two cheese sticks, two ravioli, two or three fries zucchini and artichokes. The calamari was basically nuggets. It was odd. We did get free garlic bread and salad. The garlic bread was good, but nothing to write home about. The salad needed more dressing. It tasted a litte watery. The food was blah. I ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta and the "alfredo sauce" was so thick. My son had chicken marsala which the chicken came on the side with a side of spaghetti w/red sauce? Never seen that before. My husband and nephew's food was not well seasoned. My sister's Lasagna was burnt. They do not have freshly grated Parmesean which was not a good look for an "Italian" restaurant. We probably won't come back. May as well call this place Olive Garden II. Oh, finally got our server's name at the end after asking. Alice.

The food was amazing, the service really nice and our waitress was so kind, full recommended. It’s a really classic Italian restaurant. If you like sea food try the Cannelloni Del Mar. Other really good plate was the Cannelloni Genovese. Their lasagna was on point.
