Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Georgia

I've been a resident of Morrow since 1965, and I remember when this restaurant was built. Needless to say, I've been coming to this Steak 'n Shake for a very long time . I'm not sure who owns this restaurant now, but they should either A) sell it to someone who will manage it correctly, or B) hire a manager who is skilled in the fast food industry and cares about the quality of the product as well as the customer service that is provided. This restaurant earns the "worst of the worst" award for my encounter this evening. My 75 year-old mother wanted Steak 'n Shake, so off I went.

I pulled into the drive-thru line at 8:41 p.m. The line was very long. I made it to the order kiosk at 9:11, thirty (30) minutes later. At 9:21 I paid for my order, ten (10) full minutes after I ordered. I was instructed to pull into parking space #1 to wait for my order. As you can see, I ordered two (2) HAMBURGER MEALS. After waiting 17 minutes in the parking lot, I walked into the restaurant and inquired about my food, stating that I had been here for ONE (1) HOUR. It was 9:38 p.m. when I made this statement. The girl behind the counter was making my second hamburger (my mother's order) and she repeated my statement to another woman behind the counter, who quickly contradicted me and said, "you only ordered at 9:11. You haven't been waiting for an hour." As if TWENTY EIGHT MINUTES AFTER ORDERING MY "FAST FOOD" WAS ACCEPTABLE. Of the three employees that I spoke to, all of them had a bad attitude. I had a choice word for the smart mouth behind the counter, took my food, and left.

My mother's house is less than 3 miles from this restaurant. When I arrived there to eat with my mom (at almost 10:00 in the evening), mom's food was still warm while my Frisco Melt was a cold brick. It had obviously been sitting in the bottom of the bag for a while. My mother didn't particularly enjoy her meal either.

It appears that other reviewers have had similar luck at this restaurant. Rest assured, I'll never go back, and if it weren't for the fact that my mother had a craving for this specific food tonight, I would have demanded my money back and went elsewhere. The five stars are just so the review can be seen but I will never ever ever come back here !! First off I order my food and it takes 25mins for one combo ?? Even the people that order after me were called first but had BAGS of food so I was confused :/and already on a time limit so I nicely asked for a refund one of the cooks with a blonde tipped fro gave me an attitude after I asked to get a refund then somehow my food miraculously appears and of course it’s wrong !!🙄she wasn’t wearing a name tag but when I told what items I was missing and what was wrong with my food she looked like she didn’t even care ,the smallest amount for 3 like it was still touching the bottom of the bowl yall🤦🏽‍♀️My chilli was old looking and dry there was nothing but hard beans she brought me a cheese cup told me she’d be back with my other items and disappeared so I had to ask someone else after standing there for 10 more mins 🤦🏽‍♀️Then they supposedly give me my fries they forgot and they were cold and soggy my burger had nun except hella mayo mustard n ketchup I got a double they gave me a single🙄🙄🙄🙄I paid for on it tried to get that fixed but I gave up and left their attitudes give hard labor vibes even tho they not doing nun but standin round talking to each other ? Maybe our food would be right and fresh if You all weren’t. I’d be ashamed to be a manager or a part of this place at all!!☹️Then I finally ended up craving for a shake (I had one in my rewards) from my very first visit tell me why it wouldn’t let me redeem it ?! So I mention that to the girl at the counter and she gives the rudest “iono ion eat here🫤”they act like since they have kiosks that gives them a reason to pretend we’re not therePpl work hard for their money and for it to be wasted at establishments like this bc they care more about their paycheck than the customer is really sad.another customer was there with her mother and she made a mistake ordering the same guy I talked to was acting like he’d catch something if he talked to her this was just disgusting the things I witnessed today here. I continue to lose faith in humanity .My visit here definitely hurt my feelings today....

I guess I'm getting old and the service I got was well there are no severes at this restaurant just cooks from what I can tell. And I guess I'm just not going to eat at this restaurant anymore. By take the cash ers out. It make less hospitable to me.the people there were nice like this one lady was very kind and friendly. So im just not eating at a restaurant like this anymore. There cutting jobs. Where do our youth get there first jobs if there aren't any positions for then. What if they don't like to cook but are good with people and money. I know this is where the world is heading robots doing all of our jobs, mechanics, secretary jobs why do you a secretary when all you have to do is tell you A.I I need a serious 20 page business plan that pin points how we have made other business grow and stating our intentions with your business. And it does it in and instant where it may have taking a human and hour or day. A.I that right game code. Of your gamer you next game could be made and built by A.I. So I feel if continue to buy from places like this I'm perpetually conting make it normal. Then it become a norm. And then norm is my food is being cooked prepared. And served to by a machine. With no human interaction at all. So anyone who has read this think about what could happen when you shop at the place. Your hungry but leave this place and go some where we're there are human. The more we do this. The more money they will lose and the less stores you will see being like this. I met one of my girls friends and a restaurant. And if it had been like this then. That a person I would have never had in my life. That brought others in to my life just by knowing her. So just think before you you spend your money some where that's...
