We came for a Father's Day dinner at my dad's request. This place is one of our family's go to place for special events (birthdays, Father's Day, etc). Usually the service is a little slow, but fairly good. The food usually takes a little longer to get out, but is usually worth the wait. Not the last couple of times we've gone. The last couple of times, however the food has gone down hill. The past 2 times we've gone, sides have come out cold, entrees under cooked, or not at all. Sunday it was clear they were not prepared for the volume of Father's Day. They ran out of products (over heard the bartender tell a server "goodluck" when they ran out of grapefruit for a drink). And service was just absolutely atrocious. We came in with a party of 8 (including 2 children, 6 and 1). We expected a wait, so we came in around 6 and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. Not too bad. So we waited around the bar and got beverages. Upon inquiring how much longer it would be around the 35 minute mark, the host simply told me it would be another 30 minute wait...on top of what we've already waited. Ugh. Fine. We were given the option to split up our party between 2 tables, but it being Father's day, the point to was eat together and celebrate time together. So we declined. We were sat shortly after 7 and greeted by the server in a timely manner. I believe her name tag said Tiana, she never introduced herself. Since we'd been waiting a while for a table, we already had drinks, that she quickly refreshed. She came back in a reasonable amount of time to take our order. It was placed between 7:15 and 7:20. She then disappeared. She came back to us around 8 and stated that the kitchen was backed up and they were understaffed and that she apologized for the long wait time. At this point the youngest of the 2 children in our party started to get restless and fussy. Rightfully so. She was hungry. Everytime we saw our waitress, she avoided our table like the plague. I could see her look at our table when she heard the child start fussing and then disappear or go to another table. Our food didn't come out until 8:30. It took over an hour to get our food out to us. There was no manager in sight. I hope he/she was simply too busy helping out in the kitchen to come check on the poor service. My sister and husband both order burgers, in which the fries were cold. My sister's burger was under cooked. It took an additional 10 minutes to get condiments, and an additional 5 to get the 1 she forgot. So you can imagine that sending back food was not an option as we were starving. My mom only ordered a baked potato. It never came out. First the story was, it will be right out. Okay. But then we had to inquire about it a second time. This was when the server informed us that they had run out and that it would a while. My mom simply cancelled her order. At this point it was nearing 9:00. We had been there 3 hours. We spent more time waiting than actually enjoying our time there. I think this incident was the nail in the coffin. I don't think we will be returning...
Read moreFirst and last time ever going to Ted’s! Arrived for lunch at 12:00pm. No wait. Dinning room was not even half full. For a lunch it was slow in my opinion. My husband and I both ordered sliders and 1/2 fries, 1/2 onion rings. Nothing special. After waiting over 30 minutes for our food it arrives cold! Everything was cold not even lukewarm ... sliders (meat, cheese, and buns), fries, and onion rings. The plates were not even warm like they had been siting on a warming station. After one bite we were fed up and ready to go. When we tried to get our server of course there was no one to be found... I’m pretty sure our server was the bartender on the complete other side of the restaurant as far as you could get from where we were sitting. Random hostess and even the manager had originally taken our drink order and brought us refills while we waited for the 30 minutes. Finally after sitting there 5 minutes waiting on someone to come back by I got up and went to the hostess stand to ask for assistance. They sent the manager over and at that time we told her we didn’t want the cold food and we would just go through a drive through because we were hungry. She said the kitchen was “swamped when they opened” (not sure how that could be possible, it looked dead) and insisted we not leave hungry and she wanted to remake our food. We told her we really didn’t want to wait any longer and she said she would go check with the kitchen and let us know how long it would take. We sat there about another 5 or so minutes while we watched her go make drinks in the bar before coming back to give us an ETA and at that time she said it would be another 10 minutes on top of the 5 or so we had already been waiting. At this point we had been in the Reaturant around 45 minutes without eating anything and decided to leave. She made sure she to let us know she had taken care of our meal. Not sure what that meant? We had not ate anything. That was the worst experiences I’ve had in a Reaturant not to mention it was handled so poorly! The manager could have put forth a little more effort to actually make it seem like she cared we had been waiting for 30 minutes only to have cold food brought to us. Read moreMy wife just had terrible expience with this restaurant and customer service of the staff. They messed up the order pickup time for tonight (7/29/23), and their online system took money that the staff and horrible customer-servicing manager claimed could not be returned. Facts: "Never again will I place an online order here. First off, the food nor service is not the same as it was several years ago, pre-Covid! It has gone down tremendously. The food is never consistent and to make matters worse - after placing an online order tonight it initially gives us a pick up time for 9:30pm. Then, after completing my order it gives me an order number and says the order will be ready by 11:20am the following day in - which I did not choose. After calling the restaurant to make them aware of the issue no one knew how to address the problem and after asking for the manager they says he's one of the cooks and don't know how to handle it like what??? So I stop by the restaurant as I'm thinking there's got to be something that can be done I mean what happened to good customer service like I came in expressed that I had just placed an order which was my third time explaining and that it took the funds from my account and I even showed him the order number and the transaction where the funds were removed from my Acct yet all he says is there's nothing I can do try and cancel it like really how is a customer going to cancel an online order that has already been completed through YOUR system we have no access to cancel an order already placed through your website. So obviously, you just trying to basically say we can't help you. So basically, I have no dinner and out of $50. The manager expressions was the worst he showed no empathy at all and act as if he didn't even care and that it wasn't his problem. I will be notifying corporate about this and I will never order from here again. The least he could have done was make the order and waited until the order came through to their system and canceled it. But nothing was...
