If I could leave negative stars, I would. When we arrived, the were 2 employees in sight. One standing at the register chatting with the only customer, and one in the back of the dining room. We went in, sat and waited. 5 minutes go by, and the server from the back comes to the table. Do you know what you want? Umm. Ok, yes she pulls a napkin from napkin the holder, writes down our order.. goes behind the counter to get a waffle and a drink and sits down to to eat. Ok, maybe the other server who's chatting up the guy at the register is our server. Nope. She finishes half her waffle and then brings our drinks. As we got our drinks, we were 20 minutes into our visit and another table comes in, the cook come in from outside and the other server goes to that table. They order and 25 minutes in, they start to cook the food. As we receive our food, the grits were cold and tasted old. Butter wouldn't even melt. After we got our food, the servers and the cooks were talking about something (that in itself is not the big deal) but then decided it was a private conversation so they went outside. Our server stood at the register eating something staring towards the backdoor. Then she followed. As our drinks were empty and we had eaten the food that was edible, we stacked our dishes and waited, as did the other table. She finally came back in I asked for check and a drink to go. We got the check, she went back to eating. We paid the other server and left - with no drink to go. Worst...
Read moreMy waitresses I wish I would have remembered her name. Hands down the best. I just had a liver transplant and on my way back from my many trips to Emory. Today was a very bad day. I hurt like no other days before. You could tell I was in pain. Before she took mine and my sons order she ask if i was a praying women told her yes and she held my hand and prayed with me for the pain to go away and to help me through whatever i was going through. After prayer i told her i was a liver transplant patient. I told her thanks for praying with me. She took my order when sitting it on the table the toast was a little to brown she says. I can remake it for you. Told her there was no need I'd probably only get to eat a few bites, but thanks for the kindness she had shown. My son and I blessed our food we ate and as I was leaving I didn't see her anymore. Just know there is an angel in this waffle house and I so wish I could remember her name. I wish there were more people like her in this world. A complete stranger that cared enough for another to take time go out on a limb and care for another stranger. I hope your manager reads this and I hope he knows who I'm talking about. My experience was today between 9:45 and 10:45 am we sat in the booth closest to bathrooms. I believe she had short blonde hair. Red nails and lip stick. I think I was hurting so bad I dont know for sure. God bless you sweet angel. You...
Read moreThe few times I have been, the experience has always been consistent with other waffle houses I have been to.
The most recent one was interesting though as I do not think the cook was too experienced. I always order a fiesta plate, scattered and chunked, with raisin toast. It's just my go to comfort food. The omelet was definitely different this time. It was not beaten/whisked, and it was actually made on the grill than in a pan. When it got to me, it was not a consistent yellow color, rather mixed with blotches of white and yellow here and there. Since it was not made in a pan, the white parts were littered with black flakes from the grill top. I also got white toast rather than raisin which I kind of just munch on anyway so it was not a big deal. The omelet though has it's normal flavors still, just looked off.
The waitress though had stepped out for a cigarette leaving me waiting to pay while the inexperienced cook glancing at me as she was eating her sandwich. When she finally realized it was time to pay, she did admit she just learned out to use the square payment kiosk so I figured she was new.
Out of all the times I've been there, only one time was inconsistent and that was probably due to having someone new.
I will still come here when I get the urge...
