I visited this restaurant for a late lunch and decided to try their combination Pho. Having enjoyed Pho for many years, I believe my palate has become quite discerning when it comes to the quality and flavor of this beloved dish. Unfortunately, the Pho I received was merely average—neither remarkable nor memorable. At nearly $20, I expected something that would stand out, but the flavor profile was not even on par with a standard $16 bowl available at numerous other places. The broth lacked the depth of flavor I’ve come to appreciate, and the ingredients didn’t seem notably fresher or more unique than what you’d find elsewhere. Additionally, the restaurant had a minimum 15% tip policy at checkout, which felt excessive and gave the impression that they were more focused on maximizing profits than on providing a genuine dining experience. It felt like an operation more concerned with hitting a jackpot from each customer rather than creating a positive...
Read moreYou have to go here if you love pho, fried rice, fried rolls, or anything pho! Like many others, we have always made the trip to Tacoma for a popular trusted noodle soup. Pho' & More is now our new favorite place! I am so excited because our whole family can eat here knowing this restaurant is clean, affordable and service is excellent. We were greeted when we walked in, we were able to choose our booth. Drinks and tea came quickly while we looked over the nice menu. The fried rolls were so fresh that I couldn't wait to eat before I got a picture. Hot tea was good. I asked for no white onions on my soup, order was accurate. I asked for extra cilantro and she got that right too! The beef was tender and temperature was perfect! A regular size was big enough I could barely finish. This is not fast food folks, this is the best pho we have had this side of the bridge, matter of fact, it is better than the other...
Read moreI have to say, I drove all the way here 25 minutes away, and even paid a toll for crossing the bridge, just because of positive reviews, especially the one comparing one of the most famous places in Seattle and that apparently they're vegan pho is better here than over there. This is another lesson that I learned not to trust reviews fully. The pho was at best 3/5 stars, and i have had so many vegan and non vegan pho's in the last 10 years. I also ordered their shrimp fried rice and WOW, what an absolute disaster! I'll include pictures of how much oil that dish had ! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE SEEN A DISH BEING SOAKED IN OIL OF THIS MAGNITUDE!!! The flavor was horrid, I couldn't finish it. Tasted like river and old oil. Never again. Service was super flat, less than average like a robot transaction but QUICKER. I wasted $40 plus $5 toll and gas for roundtrip 50 minutes away...
