In the evening of December 29th, after work, we decided to make the drive from El Mirage to Glendale, in order to visit our favorite game and appetizer location. We arrived around 50 minutes before closing, and our server, Brandon, was possibly the sweetest guy we could have had serving us that night. He was funny, charming, caring, and although a bit absentminded at times, he made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the whole evening. A big chunk of the sports area was closed off for some reason, so seating was a bit questionable; but upon finding somewhere to plop ourselves down for the night, we were instantly serviced. The waiter came over, wiped down the table with a cloth wipe, which smelled of cleaning solution and they handed us some paper disposable menus. We ordered a few alcoholic drinks, and the food that accompanies this review. It was my first time trying the appetizer called: Rasted Cauliflower... It is now part of my apps roster, as one of the most delicious appetizers I have ever had! Although I found it kind of sad that I couldn't find the macros or calorie count anywhere on their website, or any of the micronutrient tracking applications on my phone, it was regardless worth it and I ended up ordering two plates -along with the kid's cheeseburger- which was perfectly cooked, though the bread was a bit tough. My roommates ordered the cantina nachos and the boneless buffalo wings, and upon inquiring about it, they told me each was delicious, definitely worth the money, and very satiating for the amount of money paid. Eating and having fun at Dave & Buster's is definitely always the mood, and we are reminded of it every single time we visit them! Will and shall return, with every person that I can throughout this timeline. Give them a chance; you won't regret it!

Today was my spouse's birthday, so we decided to try Dave N Busters. The lady at the front was nice but once we got seated it went downhill pretty quick. The server quickly asked us what we wanted to drink, and my 9-year-old son said root beer. The server begins to tell us, the refill would be $3.50 each time. I found this to be quite troubling and confusing because the menu shows soft drinks are free refills, but our server explained because it's behind the bar, it is not free. When looking at the menu, it shows the refills for root beer being free (It specifically says root beer on it). This is very misleading as I felt our server was untrained or having a bad day. Then I felt rushed to order our food by the server. She asked if I was ready to order. I said no because my wife took our kids to the bathroom. I explained the kids were ready, but we needed more time to figure out what my spouse and I were going to order. The server kept trying to get me to order my kids food first after I had explained I wanted to wait. After we ordered the food, our server walked off to talk with another employee until the food was done. Once our food was delivered, our server was on her phone almost the whole time. I asked for 300 tokens and the server asked me if I wanted to supersize it. I asked the server what that means, and their response was more play time. Not one time did she mention additional chips or the specific charge in regard to the activation fee or activating a new card comes with 15 extra chips. Our server spoke to us 3 times in 1.5 hours. My son had to leave our table to ask for a refill of soda (Please keep in mind, No one was sitting around us / We were the only family in that section). Our server was quick to give us the check, I wanted to speak with my spouse about a tip. Once again, I got rushed to pay by our server. After we paid, the server got upset with our tip and completely ignored us. I will not be eating at this location anymore and probably will not be eating at Dave N Busters again. Our purchase was $186.00, and I feel disappointed in how our very first interaction with Dave N Busters was. Poor experience - based on server and misinformation. Came here on Monday October 18 after the Coyotes home opener. Arrived at the bar at 945 PM. Was told food is available. Sat and ordered a beer and a mixed drink. Asked for a water and a food menu. Food menu came and ordered the Roasted Cauliflower, Beastmode Bacon Burger and Chicken Avocado Club sandwich. Batneder came back a few minutes later, "sorry, no cauliflower" Ok, no big deal. We'll take the Korean Sticky Ribs. Bartender delivers beer and drink, no water. Bartender arrives appropriately 10 minutes later, "sorry no chicken" Us: "Excuse me, no chicken" Bartender: Yes, no chicken you can get the Parmesan Chicken, we just don't have chicken patties. Us: (puzzled look) No patties but you have chicken for parmesan? Bartender: Yes Us: Ok, we'll take the parmesan chicken Bartender: After consulting with someone else, wait, we have chicken patties just no bread for the sandwich. Us; (Again puzzled look) Uh ok we'll take the original order (chicken avocado club), no bread. And 2 waters please Bartender: Ok. We look at each other like: WTAF! Still no water. 10 minutes later, still no water, no appetizer. 10 minutes later, still no water no appetizer. 10 minutes later... Meanwhile, 3 other tables come in and order food and receive said food, including... a Chicken sandwich with bread. 1030 PM (45 minutes after we arrived) I ask for the drink tab minus any food. Different bar tender (with a mask around his chin) says sure and brings tab to us. We explained why we're leaving without our food. He says (essentially) nothing I can do about it. Um What?? Original bartender never checked on us once. We had to flag her down every time. Manager comes over, basically apologizes (but doesn't comp 2 drinks) We leave. We got our water after 3 requests approximately 30 minutes after we ordered it. Keep an eye on your bill, they sneak a suggested tip on there, If you sign it you've tipped without even knowing it (or double tipped) Shady service. I noticed after signing but thankfully before I submitted it and signed the other copy minus their "suggested tip". For the record I ALWAYS tip. Not this time. If you hire bar tenders that know what they're doing you wouldn't have to sneak tips the on bill. Stay as far away as possible. Unbelievable incompetence.

The main reason I'm giving such a low rating is due to how badly rigged the prize games are. Mainly the two biggest attractors, the wizard of Oz and Star Trek. You are required to collect a set cards in order to win a ticket bonus. The issue is that each machine has one card for each set that is exceedingly rare. Now I get that prize games are technically "gambling" but the difference here is that children are allowed to do it there is no cash prize. Hence why it's so egregious how badly they are rigged. I watched for hours as people dump hundreds of dollars into the machine trying to get a toto card for wizard of Oz just for the machine to never spit one out. Same with the star trek machine. How many hundreds of dollars are people supposed to dump for a fair chance to complete the set of cards? Mind you collecting a set only yields 2500 tickets which gets you a prize of about 10-15 dollars value.. needless to say I won't be playing the prize games there ever again. Tldr Dave and busters is fun for a drink or two but don't waste your money on the arcade games. I doubt I'll ever go back. Attached is a video of both machines without a single rare card in each machine as proof.

The server was kind, but several things led to where she was not trained right or a newer server. But she definitely tried, I think other people failed to do their part, which made her time with us worse than it was. She didn't introduce herself. When runners brought appetizers, we had no silverware or dishes. It took almost 10 min to get utensils. Appetizers got cooled, It wasn't finger food. We asked for water with our alcohol drinks, and it wasn't ever brought. I asked for no pickles on my bean burger, and cooks failed that. [It was on ticket] The share drink was not priced on the menu when asked how much it was a guesstimate. [Never confirmed] We eat out frequently when traveling, business and friends n family visit. For the total price of ticket. It wasn't worth it. When the total came, we were like for that? Very disappointing. We will go back for drinks but not a meal. Food was not all that, and black bean burger was a poor quality, and the add-on for truffle fries was crazy cause they were soggy. 25 dollars for a veggie patty is crazy. Again, I try not to post negative, but this was too much money for the quality we ate.
