So I guess this store disrespects veterans for no reason. I came in to get a shirt and asked for a Veterans/military discount and he said "Can't without seeing identification." So I showed my veterans ID card, which he ended up wanting to see it by holding it. He kept antagonizing me and trying to tell me it was a fake. At first I cracked a smile, but he wouldn't let up. Kept saying it and started embarrassing me in front of people. Finally, he states that he's joking (after "joking" about it 4-5 times). So I asked if he could just ring me up, because at this point I was embarrassed and felt disrespected. After a subtle apology, he then says "If you served, what branch?". IF? At that point of interrogation I finally just told him never mind, I didn't want the shirt anymore and we left the store. We spent more time getting hassled at the counter then we did shopping! I was going to ask for a manager at this point, but the guy was training another person, so I figured he was of some sort of management so I didn't bother. Unfortunately didn't get his name, but he was a Latino male working between 6-8pm on July 6th, 2024.
I know nobody cares for a "well I'll never shop here again" post, but I'm posting this because I just hope this guy doesn't continue to train others to be that way since he was obviously training someone...
