We have been eating Massis for many years now, but because of what happened tonight, I am writing a review so that others know what to expect. These evening the restaurant was busy. I waited in line to order, which was the #24 family meal ,but it was only after I paid that the person that took the order said that it would be a 20-30 minute wait. Typically, in the restaurant industry, when there is a long wait time, the staff tells the customer that there's a long wait time, but this person decided to say that only after the order was paid for. When I asked why she didn't mention the long wait time, she said that it was my responsibility to ask about the wait time before ordering. I told her that it was her responsibility to tell me, the customer about the long wait time before ordering, that gives the customer the opportunity to decide to eat there or not. After that incident, we got our food, but where shocked to see that the portions where smaller, and to make matters worse, the prices went up. They gave us less chicken kabob, less beef koubideh, less rice and even less hummus. What kind of tricks are they trying to get away with? The customers are not stupid, and we can see that they are serving less food and at higher prices. Is this due to the inflation crisis, or what? I am very disappointed in Massis Kabob. Instead of maintaining the same level of food quality and customer service, it has done down, or...

Uber eats will not refund for incorrect food or for food that causes food poisoning, so really only writing review so you know. The sealed bag actually gave off a sour rancid smell before opening, yuck. Beef koubideh was cold and also looked and tasted off, or old, causing stomach cramps after eating. Felt sick for a few hours, instead of feeling full after a meal. Rice was cold and did not taste fresh, like it was old. Was sent chicken koubideh instead of chicken kabob, which caused my roommate bloating and stomach pains. Yogurt did not smell but tasted off and color was also yellowing a bit. Tabouleh smelled sour and was over salted or tasted sour, something very off in the flavor. Ordered delivery and seems was sent old food. Previously have dined in for trout with no problems. Will not order again. Stay away from the meat. Gross. Pay money here in exchange for rancid food. Photos sent to uber eats but did not save for me...

Omg! I love mama Rosa and the manager ( Im sorry for forgetting your name). My husband and I had just flown into town after a long emotional week out of town. We were exhausted and wanted a quick delish dinner. We had been to this Massis with our son and thought the food was pretty good-so we stopped in again. After our yummy dinner we were anxious to get home and relax. It wasn’t until we were home about 30 miles away that I discovered I left my purse in the restaurant…cash, credit cards, passports and all! In a panic we drove back. There behind the counter was my purse with my ID taped to it…and everything inside! Rosa found it and turned it in.

My husband and I were blessed to leave her a token of gratitude…when the manager told us it was her bday…it made our gift to her all the more special!

Thank you Massis Kabob for the delicious food…and superb customer service! ...

@massiskabob is known as The Original Kabobery. Started by Hacop “Jack” Baghdassarian in the Glendale Galleria back in 1976. Today they have 7 locations, including this newest stand alone brick and mortar Flagship Location on the corner of Colorado Blvd. & Glendale Ave. here in Glendale. Here’s everything I tried during my visit: -Family Meal Pack $69.95 (serves 4-5 people) -Falafel Plate $10.95 -Koubideh Plate $13.95 -Falafel Pita Wrap $9.95 -Garlic Fries $4.95 -Cucmber Yogurt Dip $4.95 📍MASSIS KABOB (Flagship location) 301 South Glendale Ave. Glendale, CA Also in Arcadia, Glendale Galleria, Sherman Oaks Fashion Square, Century City Mall, Culver City Mall, and Canoga Park/Topanga Mall

Koobideh didn’t have much flavor. The portion size was wonderful, the 12A plate came with rice, grilled pepper and tomato, and a salad. I added a small hummus and asked for garlic sauce which is more like chimichurri, not the typical Mediterranean whipped garlic sauce I was expecting. The garlic sauce was good, hummus super smooth and both were flavorful. Unfortunately I needed to smother the koobideh and rice with them as neither had much flavor or pizzaz. The side salad tasted fresh and again, a wonderful portion size for $13.95. They offer a rewards program but honestly I think k id prefer to check out a local Mom n pop restaurant next time. Service was fine, the cashier was helpful but nobody was friendly and there were way too many employees standing around.

Decided to try the new location of this Glendale Galleria food court staple! Central location and very spacious. This spot is also well-frequented - lot of people coming in and out of the door. That being said, I for one wasn’t as pleased with the food here as I hoped to be. The pros were the chicken, which was cooked nice and juicy, and the buttery rice. But on all other fronts that I tried, I was a bit disappointed: dry beef, lackluster side options (hummus and ikra were dull), and relatively small meat portions for the price. Definitely a hard sell considering the plentiful kabob spots in town and high standards for it in the city. Overall, a nice spot to visit if you’re in a rush to get a quick kebab fix, but not the best spot for it in town.
