Located on the second floor at Westgate, this place definitely has its charm. We had a reservation for four. It was fairly early and the place, being that it was early, wasn’t full. Yet, people with no reservations, went ahead of us—granted we didn’t wait much, maybe 15 minutes, but it was a tad frustrating. We sat near a window but not directly next to it. The place generally, does give a great vibe. It’s slightly dark and it took us a while to figure out the light stand at the table; that’s actually a pretty cool touch.
We were served drinks. “Take Me Home Tonight” sounded interesting, so I ordered it. I wasn’t impressed. It was mostly sugar and tasted syrupy. Other specialty drinks were ok, but I preferred off the menu and opted for a regular Paloma. Turned out to be very tasty and less expensive.
We ordered several starters, including the shrimp. It was so good, we ordered another. I was impressed with the ceviche; could have had more chips. Chips and salsa actually did taste fresh and were great. Our main dishes, for the most part were tasty, as well. The amount of steak was impressive and the mac’n cheese was delicious. We were trying to figure out what kind of cheese it was. Friend had a steak as well, but he ordered rare, only to get medium. I had the mole enchiladas. Although pretty tasty and packed with flavor, the meal itself was barely warm. I couldn’t figure out why I was told to be careful with the hot plate. I even laughed.
Initially, the music was slightly loud but we could still have a comfortable conversation. Once it hit about 7, there was a DJ and we could no longer chat at our table. We were screaming at each other. So, we just got quiet.
I was very impressed with the bathroom. As well as the service. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They’re still fairly new and haven’t yet set up their outside dining area. But I hear, it’s in the works.
I’m not sure if I am to go back yet. I didn’t have a bad experience. It just felt it was a one-time thing. Our bill came out to almost $400 and it wasn’t an extreme memorable experience. Only thing on my end, is our servers, who were all...

Read moreWent here for dinner on a whim after we finished shopping at the outlets. It's upstairs on the east side of Kabuki. We were greeted and seated quickly. The restaurant design is really well done. It has very modern chic decor and it's very well done. Props to whomever did the planning and design work. We were seated in a booth and it felt very private for to the way things were laid out. Our server greeted is quickly and went over the menus ands drink options. He then took our drink orders ( this place is not super expensive, but a mixed drink on menu was $19, so plan on spending some money here if you plan on drinking ).
The server brought our drinks out along with chips and salsa (great tasting and homemade, both) and took our appetizer order, which was the queso and elote. Both were well prepared, and presentation was great. He then came back to bring the appetizers, refilled out drinks and took our main course order.
We ordered the lamb chops, asparagus, Mac and cheese, and a pork and rice dish ( cannot remember the name but it's pictured ). Again presentation of the food was spot on and it was very well cooked. The lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy, and the asparagus was steamed perfectly. The pork and rice was very flavorful and the tortillas were amazing.
Service was impeccable, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
I would definitely recommend coming here. It's pricey, especially with drinks. Expect to spend $100 per person or more with tip if you're drinking, maybe $50 without drinks. Most menu items are ala carte, but it is...
