Old School Bagel Cafe — Restaurant in Glenpool

Unfortunately this a a one start review due to how the bagels were sent home on a Togo order. But also due to the way the untrained manager Amanda handled the situation. I paid just under $9 yes $9 for two bagels with butter one with onion cream cheese on the side. I get home and half the bagels were burnt. I understand things happen but when I try to explain to Amanda that they were burnt she recommends I ask for them to be lightly toasted then. I explain that they aren’t brown they were black and she continues to say I should ask for them to be lightly toasted. Um how about not sending out burnt my bagels in the first place. I understand that this is a first job for most of the kids there are she explained yet if she was truly a manager she should train her staff in quality control and maybe just some common sense. Customer service is horrible at this location. Went in on 5/1, only two people in the store, me and a person eating at a table. I needed to select the baker dozen bagels to go. They take my money and then tell me it'll be a 5-10 min wait. They had tons of bagels, no reason for this wait. 8 minutes go by and I watch these two employees just walk around doing nothing. Then the guy comes back with a box and says "here's your bagels". I wanted to select the bagels as I had said when I ordered. Then they didn't even cut the bagels as I needed for an office event. He refutes saying I never said that. I was already late from their delays that I told them I'm already late, this is ridiculous and I had to go. Our company won't be back at this location. Can't seem to find the pic I snapped, but I finally tried this place. The chick working the drive thru seems like the kindest, most gentle person ever. I had a toasted lox bagel ($10.99) and a chai latte ($3.99). Pleased with both! The latte was basic and good, nothing special but nothing to complain about either. They don't skimp on the cream cheese, which is great! I would've added a dash of lemon pepper, but can't hold that against them. I will be back!
