Honestly, not sure why this place is rated so high. Must be because it's in downtown of a historical place so people don't have high expectation. Portion is alright, but price is too high for the quality. Brisket is underseasoned but edible. Ribs is very tender almost like pull pork, but their seasoning just makes it stinks. There's no pork flavor beside slightly spicy. Their BBQ sauce is NOT BBQ sauce. It's just seasoned marinara completes with the tomato after taste. BBQ but without the BBQ sauce, so if you don't want flavor or want to dip your meat in marinara sauce, then you'll enjoy it. Their pinto bean side is literally just boiled bean with no seasoning or anything else. Sausage was good, but it's a high quality grocery store sausage kind of good. Cole slaw seem to be from the same grocery store, or chicken express. Even if you dine in, water is not free. Oh, and if you decide to share your plate, you get a $3 surcharge without any extra meat (I asked the waitress). 1 meat plate is $18, 2 meats is $24 before tax. Just order their special. Price per pound of all meats $32.00 lb ????? Wwwwwwway over priced !!!!!!!!!!!! Your ribs are priced right and on point to the taste,I give you that.
But we moved here from Fort Worth 6 months ago, not many places here in Granbury for BBQ, so why would you price gouge your Granburyians and all the tourist that Granbury gets? Don't get it??
Unfortunately we will have get our BBQ else where, and I have driven 100's miles to buy 50 to 60lbs of BBQ at one time for my wife and myself,just disappointing!!
There is lots of great BBQ places that we frequent and drive the miles too (AS YOU CAN SEE) alot more reasonable

This place is a treasure with a classic look tucked into Granbury's shopping district! The service was top tier just real nice genuine people excited to receive us and share their cooking. One of the kindest restaurants I've ate at! We got the brisket sandwich which had really good sliced brisket between a delicious bun! The gumbo was unique and light while still bold with flavor! The beans for our sides were scrumptious and I found my self scraping the bottom of the cup for the last drippings. My girlfriend got the baked potatoes with chopped brisket loaded with all the fixings. It was almost 2 meals in its own right! The setting is great as well we ate outside just right on the main street with the shopping and festivities.
