Wagon Yard — Local services in Granbury

A friend had shown me a canvas print she bought here... and I wanted one, so she brought me to check the place out. I enjoyed them so much, I bought one of each. It's just such a pleasant and fun way to look at history. Not to mention the employee was extremely patient while i tried to figure out exactly which ones I wanted and what sizes. I asked if they had drinks for sale somewhere, because I realized I'd forgotten to take my medication? They did not, but they did give me a bottle of water, which was super thoughtful! It was a very pleasant shopping experience, and the employees were just fantastic.

It's not your average shop downtown. Things are reasonably priced, and while the items do tend to lean towards the rustic, country esthetic, they have so many other interesting things! Beautiful stained glass pieces, vintage magazines, interesting chandeliers and other lighting fixtures, probably at least a hundred different clocks, including grandfather clocks and cuckoo clocks. There is truly something for everyone, even the kiddos.

I was really amazed at the range of items. I even picked up some super soft bedsheets for half of what I had paid at bed bath and beyond 🤐

Someday soon I'll have to head back in because the lighting fixtures and various artworks are truly beautiful. I would definitely recommend this store to a friend, just as it was...

My friend and I had the most unusual visit to the Wagon Yard. It was recommended to us by my Granbury resident daughter in law. She said it was her favorite store. When we walked in the door, we understood what she meant. WOW!! One thing she didn't tell us is that sometimes mishaps happen anywhere, anytime. My friend stopped by the ladies room and then tried to get out. She tried everything.....couldn't. So I tried and couldn't get her out. Fortunately, there was a lovely employee passing by. I told her of my dilemma, so she tried to free my friend......couldn't! She called the front desk, explained the situation, and out of nowhere our hero appeared with a screwdriver (or something) in his hand. He DID it!! My friend was miraculously saved! I was so relieved. Didn't know how I was going to slide her meals under the door. Oh, yes, the lovely employee who was the first on the scene gave us each a jar of delicious jelly. My friend, for going through the experience and mine for being such a supportive friend and not leaving her for even in minute in her hour of distress. One more thing. I'll start by saying they have beautiful looking furniture, quality, high-end pieces. That said, I saw an awesome looking office chair on their website, called and ordered it. With they sent me samples to confirm the fabric and wood finish...the chair I received, was not even close. If someone had just taken a LITERAL two minutes to quality control this, they would have noticed they just spent 10 weeks (that's how long it took) using the wrong materials on this piece of furniture. After going back and forth with them, the acknowledged that it was incorrect and would reorder from their manufacturer. Yesterday, I received what I was hoping to be the correct chair, yet again the wood finish was different than the samples we were working from (I'm not just talking a slight color variation, which is natural, but the finish was completely different). I'm done dealing with this company and the $1600 office chair will suffice the way it is, but it's not what I ordered. Their customer service is par at best. I would recommend...
