Before you read this review, I want it to be known that this is the very first time I have ever felt it necessary to post a bad review on a restaurant. Iāve worked in restaurants for many years, and am a frequent customer of nearly all the restaurants in the area. I regularly came here for breakfast for a very long time. This past time, however, I noticed a man, claiming to be the manager, that I had not seen before. He is a short, younger man, with dark hair and large bulging eyes. From start to finish, this man was so incredibly rude to one customer after the next. Shouting, scowling, and rolling his eyes at both the customers and the staff. He seemed to be barking orders at the rest of the employees, who sadly just kept working with their heads down. Others in line, along with me, were in shock at what we were seeing, and we spoke amongst ourselves about it while we waited in line to place our orders. A nice blond lady on the staff looked at me and quietly said āIām sorry about himā. Once I received my sandwiches, which he made, I noticed the order came out completely wrong. I specifically asked for no tomatoes, which my girlfriend is allergic to, and it seemed as if he put extra tomatoes on purpose. A bit disappointing when spending 30 dollars for a lox sandwich and a bacon egg and cheese. I would have been remiss if I did not say something, so, I approached the man as I was walking out. I stated to him āI canāt believe how rude you have been from the second I walked in, and itās really disappointingā. To that he stated āhave a nice day sir, OR NOTā. I will never be back here, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away. What a shame. Too bad I am not able to give 0 out of 5 stars...

My wife and I went to get a bagel with cream cheese this morning and we thought to try Lox Stock & Bagels as itās been a long time since our last visit! š¤ As always we mentioned her peanut allergy. The server said, āthereās peanut butter everywhere and theres nothing I can doā (basically telling me she cant get a clean knife in the back and change her gloves, open a container of cream cheese and give us the bagel). We skipped her sandwich and got a coffee. After we talked with a manager who told us, āIām sorry but we have NO CLEAN KNIVES. And due to the politics and economy I canāt get enough people to work for me. Itās too busy for them to have to go in the back, clean a knife and prepare your sandwich.ā We said we wonāt be able to come back unfortunately. Manager said OK. I donāt believe this! Years of me working in restaurants and customer service, Iāve never heard anyone use excuses like that to refuse services. Minus well have said, āI donāt clean my restaurant and follow protocol anymoreā. PS there was no offer at all from the Manager like a comped coffee or anything.
