Great customer service. Food was OK, highlights were the house Salad Dressing. Their coffee is not great, they used an instant powder for my decaf, not exciting, although it did come served with a cute cookie. Nice choices for creamers though. Nice offering of pasta dishes, including multiple choices for spaghetti sauces which I appreciated. Hubby had the Stromboli which he said was OK. Presentation lacked in that my plate was plastic as were the bread basket and the table cloth under the glass top. Oddly, my hubby got a regular ceramic plate. An unimpressive battery candle on the table lacked atmosphere. It was cold and drafty, ceiling fans were on. No masks were warn by any staff at any time. No disinfecting of the front counter between to go customers, we watched many come and go. Music playing were old standards which actually was one of the nicer aspects of the dining feel. You can find parking behind the restaurant as well as on street. Food was hot and tasty and they grated fresh parmesan cheese on our food as much as we desired. A nice touch were the bite size bread pieces with oil and balsamic and some nice spices. Spaghetti came with green beans on the side which were actually really fresh and nicely prepared.

The only reason I gave this restaurant one star is for the lovely server Tynaia, who was friendly, efficient and did an amazing job solely being the only server/hostess and busser all the while being hospitable to the restaurant full of people. The owner who was cooking served burnt garlic bread, green beans with stem still on them, the food was not fresh, as it tasted like very old, bland leftovers, sauce was too sweet, no flavor and food came out barely warm. When I asked for fresh bread that is normally served before the meal when dining in, to go along with our 3 overpriced meals to go order, she rudely denied, just said no. I asked if I could purchase it, she rudely snapped at the server, heavily sighing she exclaimed alright then if she wants it she can pay $4.75. I feel bad for the staff that has to work with her, and customers that have to deal with her behavior. She was mean, unkind and had a horrible attitude not only with her staff but to guests as well.

The pictures should be enough to clue you in. Just because there are overcooked soft noodles and red stuff on a plate...doesn't mean it's Italian. Flavors were way off, like when your Grandma used to be a great cook until she got too old and lost her sense of taste and didn't care anymore and just threw weird stuff together, but also had to stop using salt due to her blood pressure. On a positive note, none of our stomachs hurt later, so it's edible and convenient (if you're staying at the Airbnb across from the Crack house on B street) it's just not tasty. This place has potential, they just need to find their passion for cooking again.

Okay so I just wanted to see what Gianelli's sandwiches were all about. I'm a very very picky person when it comes to two sandwiches. The Cheesesteak and the meatball. My wife got the Reuben and she said it was great I however did not try it. So let's start with the cheesesteak. The Cheesesteak at Gianelli's could not be closer to Pat's or Geno's in Philly. I grew up on their Philly cheesesteaks. And here we are in Grants Pass Oregon at Gianelli's and this is the best cheesesteak I have come across outside of Philadelphia. I will be ordering from there anytime I want a cheesesteak. The other two places that I regularly get my cheesesteaks from are good but they do not come close to Gianelli's. So I give their Cheesesteak 10 stars all the way. Now let's move right on over to the meatball. The meatball sandwich at Gianelli's is very very good. Better than any other meatball sandwich I have had in Oregon. So yes, I will be ordering my two favorite sandwiches from this restaurant all the time. As far as price goes? 13.50 per sandwich and I do not believe that price is any more than the other two places that I normally get sandwiches. So all in all if you like a good cheese steak and a good meatball sandwich then I recommend you go to Gianelli's you're not going to find better anywhere else trust me when I say that! I can't say anything about the atmosphere of this place because I've never eaten inside. But I can say this, whoever took my order over the phone was great. She was friendly, she was funny and she laughed at my dumb jokes. My wife and I will stop and have dinner there soon. Thank you Gianelli's and we will see you again soon. And just so you know, this is Winchester! LOL UPDATE: TODAY 8/30/2024, ORDERED ANOTHER PHILLY, ALFREDO, AND THE SAUTÉED BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!!! AMAZING!!!!!...

This was our first visit to this restaurant so we did not know what to expect. Went on a Thursday night. They were short on their staff that night and the server was busting her hump to take care of everyone, so under those circumstances it did take a little while to get waited on but that was no big deal. I Ordered my favorite. Fettuccine Alfredo. My companion wanted to order lasagna but was informed they were out so he ordered the spaghetti dinner instead. The salad was very refreshing. We are used to being served a salad consisting of just iceberg lettuce and a few cut up tomatoes in most restaurants. This salad had red lettuce, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and possibly spinach. It was great. Now for the main course: my Fettuccine Alfredo was so delicious. It's really hard to find good Alfredo sauce in a restaurant in this town. This sauce was smooth and creamy and rich. The garlic toast was was also yummy. There was also a little side of string beans that were prepared some way which I am not sure of but, they were excellent. Overall I loved my dinner. My companion however was not fond of the spaghetti at all. He said it tasted to garlicky but like me thought the salad was very good. The chef came out and walked around to all the tables asking how everything was. We found out that she is the owner. Very nice lady. We will definitely go back again and hopefully they will have lasagna. The only reason this review got 4 stars instead of 5 is because my companion really wanted lasagna and they were out and he did not care for...

Well, this is unfortunate but seems like a no brainer that rudeness will always deter people from supporting you. My husband and I wanted to give this place a try and support small business but not anymore. We were dropping off our chicken eggs to a friend next door and so we were parked in the back where the parking lot was completely empty in a position where we could easily turn around considering we would be there for let’s say 3 minutes or less. Some woman was waiting at the side door and as soon as I walked by said “you can’t park there like that!” And I said “oh sorry, we were just dropping something off really quick.” She said “DOESN’T MATTER.” So I just said “yep, ok.” And now she has 4 less customers including whoever reads this review and any of our friends that I will tell not to waste their money on such rude people. Hopefully this is a lesson learned for her.

My response back to you is that I completely understand where you’re coming from. Had you said that or something like that this wouldn’t even be a conversation and I would’ve respected your wishes, but the way you handled it in that moment was rude. I would hardly say we were parked there, it was 2 minutes, and it was in a place that didn’t stop anyone from getting access to your lot. I was trying to give you my explanation and you could’ve given me yours but instead you decided to reprimand a stranger. I hope you have a wonderful...
