I’m writing this today because I wanted to address it today, when the situation happened and also for the workers that dealt with this. I received two #8 chicken sandwiches, both grilled, both separate trips/orders. I called to inform them that it was undercooked, and the manager kindly offered me another one. My husband went to get it, and upon bringing it back, I opened it up to bite into it, and it was the exact same. However, I realized that it wasn’t undercooked, it was the chicken itself. The texture felt the same as raw chicken, but it’s really a muscle disorder that chickens can get— NOT the cook’s fault so I apologize to any worker that got into trouble for that. It IS safe to eat this type of chicken but it’s really not appetizing. I hope management or corporate reads this, because this wouldn’t be the case if quality chicken was purchased, if not at least the chicken that is currently ordered was inspected for the tell-tale signs of this specific disorder: (white stripes along the muscle fibers.) it’s called “Woody Chicken” because it is tough, and literally felt like sawdust is in the fibers. Again, I hope someone of higher authority with this company is able to read this because it really sucks for the employees to get the brunt end of the stick when they are caught in the middle of all this at no fault of their own. I’m giving five stars because despite the severely gross and unappetizing chicken, the staff handled it superbly, despite showing obvious confusion and a little frustration about why this guy (my husband) is back ONCE again lol. I would be confused too... but I DON’T blame THEM!! Braum’s— don’t let your hard working employees down! Give them good ingredients to cook with! It’s what I love and have always loved about Braum’s. Love this place, always have. I grew up on Braum’s. No hate here, just a concern and two thumbs way up for the staff at...
Read moreMy wife and I frequent this Braums often. Tonight we decide to go in because we need a few groceries. My wife likes sprinkles on her yogurt, so she asks the girl at the counter if she can fill up the cup halfway and put some sprinkles, then put more yogurt on and some on the top. This way, she can have more than just a few bites of yogurt with sprinkles. Th girl was super nice and accommodating and made my wife's yogurt the exact way she asked for. In the meantime, I was paying for the yogurts and explained that we ordered 1 yogurt with extra sprinkles. The manager Cindy comes over to the young lady and berates her for making the yogurt wrong by adding too many sprinkles and throws my wife's yogurt in the trash! Cindy didn't ask why she put extra sprinkles on the yogurt but created a scene in front of a counter full of customers. When my wife questions Cindy on why she threw her yogurt away - Cindy explains she is teaching her the right way of making the yogurt! I asked Cindy why she didn't ask the young lady why she was putting on extra sprinkles and she could only respond that she was doing it wrong. Cindy then tries to give my wife a yogurt without any sprinkles and my wife wasn't happy! At this point we just want our money back. Cindy then argues about what we paid and gives us only a refund for the yogurts and not the sprinkles we paid for! So ironically we ended up paying for sprinkles on a yogurt that we never received and were thrown away in front of a line of people. This manager has a serious issue of not understanding what is going on, enforcing her power (no matter who this embarrasses) and trying to prove she is right by her actions. Talk about the worst customer service over something so simple and what we...
Read moreMy family loves Braums food, especially the ice cream. The problem we had with the one in Grapevine TX, was purely service. I don't like to write bad reviews, but we have stopped at this one 3 times in 3 days, because my son kept begging. The first time, the young man taking my order deleted part of it, instead of asking for clarification. "When in doubt, repeat the order back"; this was the first thing I was taught many years ago in fast food. He then proceeded to drop one of our shakes, and decided to mop the entire floor, instead of telling me about it, or asking someone else to make a new one. When I inquired about the order, a young lady snapped at me, instead of asking one of the others nearby what was going on. Second try, we went through the drive thru, figuring what could go wrong, but the order was mangled, and the young man at the window couldn't seem to understand that a plain burger should have no ketchup on it. Again, fixing the mess up was excruciating, and surly. Last, and final visit to this location EVER, we did get our order taken properly, and we settled on a booth. The fellow who took our order brought it to the table, and snarled "We called you five times". Very rude. We love Braums food, and will continue to patronize other locations, but if we're ever in Grapevine, we'll find...
