My daughter and I stopped here to grab a quick meal for my husband and son who stayed back at our hotel.
To the Owner / manager of this store, your driver-thru person who was working 8/16/24 around 11 pm is an embarassment to your store because he is extremely rude. He seriously needs more training and coaching. Here's why:
Right away his greeting was offputting. He didn't say "Hi" or "Thank you for choosing whataburger" or really anything more than "what can i get for you?" Honestly, I've never waited as long as I did tonight for someone to just greet me at a drive-thru and then have that person turn around and rush me thru my order, interrupting me as I was literally trying to tell him my order.... it felt like he wasn't listening and didnt really even care to listen. When I pulled up to the window and handed him my card I turned to say something to my daughter and right as I did he said "yo" pretty loudly to let me know he was done with it....as if I had insulted or inconvenienced him! Not a "here you go" or "all set" even a simple I dunno, "ma'am" would've worked anything but just "yo".
To the guy who took my order if you are reading this: YOU ARE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE SO ACT LIKE IT or find a different industry because no one needs your terrible attitude and I don't recall asking for a side of that heinous BS. NO one forced you to work there and if you are that miserable you need to find a new industry.
As if that wasn't already enough I ordered the #1 with no vegetables and it had onions on it I didn't bring it back for them to fix because honestly I didn't trust him not to do something nasty to it because he got mad that we brought it back. I would recommend the Birthday shake on taste also, just not from this location. I liked the way the outside of this location looked, I thought...
Read morePrepare to wait for 20-30+ minutes in the drive thru. I don’t know why I do this every time thinking it will be faster. But it’s at least 4 minutes between every car. I’ve even waited up to 11 minutes before just for the next car to move up. In fact I’m currently typing this while in the drive through. It has been 19 minutes and I have moved 2 car lengths. I’m sure the staff is trying their best but management has to figure something out. Yes it is past midnight when I come, but it’s whataburger in Texas. (Oooh just moved another car up! 12:22). It’s where everyone comes late at night, nothing new and not unexpected. I arrived at 12:01 and was one car behind the order menu. And again it is like this EVERY TIME I come here. Food is usually fine. Occasionally they’ll forget a side of fries or an extra sauce I order. And I pretty much always use the order ahead feature. The drive thru wait times are atrocious and I worked in fast food for a year so I know how it is, but it’s literally so ridiculous. I want to add after posting. I got my order at 12:32. I drove home and realized they forgot the burger from my meal order. I live very close so I decided to drive back to get it since this was dinner for myself and my husband. The gal that helped was pretty nice about it, at least as nice as someone can be when they’ve probably worked for hours in this chaos and was clearly very don’t with the night. Tbh I...
Read moreGot to go order. Food pretty cold. Given attitude about asking for ranch (corporate gives you one ranch for 9 boneless buffalo wings I’m told, 40 cents for an additional, would not pay on principal.) I believe Jasmine was the one with attitude. Also all of the women seemed to be bossing around one fantastic guy wearing a yellow vest. Didn’t catch his name but I’m positive he is the reason this location isn’t out of business. Whatever, I’m tired and it’s a long day. Walk back to hotel. Messed up order, kid didn’t have cheese on burger no ketchup in bag no napkins. Walk back. Jasmine ignores me. Guy comes up to help someone else, helps them immediately, guy helps me. Explain. He says yes sir I will fix this right away. Cool! Love this guy. Here comes Jasmine “what’s wrong with it?” Barking at this poor kid. He says “it didn’t have cheese” and throws it away (thank god he’s remaking it because it’s ice cold by now) and Jasmine tells him “ugh well you could put cheese on it!” lol give me a break, listen. The ladies here, for the most part, starting with Jasmine, should be fired. Corporate lost a life long customer over a 40 cent cup of ranch. And the dude that works here and basically runs this place and acts as a servant to all of the other people working there? Well that guy should find somewhere to work where his coworkers...
