Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Greeley

Today was my first visit and I do not plan to return. I ordered the Big Kahuna, which is a cheese steak with onions, peppers, mushrooms and jalapenos. I ordered the Giant. This is a $15 sandwich. What I got was a footlong steak and cheese made with Steak Umm frozen sandwich meat. Paper thin slices of frozen steak dry out almost instantly on a hot grill. They use no oil and cook the steak by itself so the meat was leather dry. There were minimal toppings. I found 2 slices of jalapeno, a few onions and maybe 1 pepper or mushroom. There was lots of cheese, really too much, because they use sliced cheese which has a plastic texture when melted. The cheese was pretty much all you could taste. It was a very dry, very flavorless, very overpriced footlong steak sandwich. The competition sells a better sandwich for half the price. And they will even offer you toppings - something Jersey Mike does not do. This was hands down to worst sandwich I have purchased in a long time and I would recommend going...

I decided to give Jersey Mike's a try. Unfortunately I was not very impressed. My wife and I ordered the big philly sub. For being a big sandwich there was very little meat on the sandwich, especially for charging 20 bucks for it. I have no problem paying 20 bucks for something if it is a sandwich that is worthy of being 20 bucks. Again unfortunately this is not the case with this place. Hopefully they address this..

As a follow up to my initial review. The manager reached out to me and asked me to clarify my issue with the negative review. So I proceeded to basically explain my initial review and he simply stated, "well that is our sandwich and people accept it for what they get..." So unfortunately, I believe that if you want what I believe to be a very subpar sandwich for 20 plus dollars then eat here. If you want to get something that is actually worth 20 bucks then...

Ever since then I’ve been wanting a sub so he brought me one home tonight. There was an amazing sub place where I grew up. I’ve never found a place even close to as good as they were. They cut the meat when you ordered, had fresh lettuce and always the best quality everything. The other night my DH came home raving about Jersey Mikes bacon chicken sandwich. I told him there’s no way it could be as good as the place I went to as a kid, but I’m willing to try it sometime. Tonight he brought one home. Well, I really never thought I would have anything close to as good as that other place. Today I proved wrong! Jersey Mikes is BETTER than that little place! I will finally eat subs again!
