UPDATE September 2021: Quick dinner. Good service. Pricing still reasonable. Similar to a cross between a poke bar and a Genghis Grill, Tokyo Joe's has a nice setup where you can either order from entrees or build one off their various choices. I opted for a poke bowl with brown rice and toppings such as fried jalapenos, cucumbers, pickled vegetables, and a few other sauces. Portion size was fair for the $12 or so. Flavors were very good as were the ingredients. Staff was friendly and stayed on top of keeping the tables clean and sanitized. Definitely going to be back to try some of their other selections.

This was the first time I have eaten at Tokyo Joe's, and I must say wow. Ok, so i must disclose that i have a serious shellfish allergy so I have to stay away from seafood just to be safe. The staff took their time to show me how the menu works and they even took the time to explain a number of things. Any ways I order a stake bowl with vegetables, teriyaki and green dragon sauce. Man was it good. The dragon sauce may be spicy for some people so if you get it, ask for it on the side. I will be returning for more of that green dragon sauce..

Go to SafeWay for some Sushi! I am very disappointed with my recent order delivery. 1. The sushi was falling apart and came without soy sauce. 2. The spring rolls were missing the peanut sauce. The quality and attention to detail were not up to standard, and I hope you can address these concerns. Thank you for your understanding.

The staff was lovely and the food was great. I was convinced to go with the orange chicken (because I am indecisive and could not bring myself to create my own bowl) which was enjoyable and actually better than expected. It wasn't mind-blowing, enlightening, Michelin-starred cuisine but I got what I feel is more than I paid for at around $9. I was surprised by the wait, or the lack thereof. Seriously, I was taken aback by how quickly and smoothly everything was handled (at a slower hour but nonetheless it is true (not to mention the team kicked butt when the dinner rush rolled around, too)). The chicken was fine, the texture and size were both good and nothing there's exemplary in terms of flavor (as that is what the saute and sauce is for) but it was cooked well, as were the veggies. Everything was warm and refreshing, the flavor was not bland or unpleasant for anything, and the snapping peas were snappy. The sauce was sweet and orangey, the orange garnish was a nice touch, the overall presentation was very much more than acceptable for a restaurant charging the price of a burrito at Qdoba. It almost seems as though some passion goes into the work :). I opted for some of the tea over soda, which was most definitely a good choice, especially the raspberry hibiscus (a bit of a sweet taste) and another one with "dragon" in the name (a nice bitter note followed by some light fruitiness I think, not overpowering after the initial sip). They both tasted absolutely fine and rendered my thirst quenched and taste buds happy. The music was a bit on the loud side but if it keeps the fantastic staff happy, it is fine by all means. It could've been loud due to our seating, which was near the patio entrance in hindsight. Overall nice tunes to eat to, energy was a higher and upbeat, sort of like the presentation in the restaurant, the food, and the staff. The tables I saw and sat at were all clean and tidy, things like soy sauce and sriracha were kept stocked, and the busser taking dishes was very quick, thorough, tidy, and kind. I would like to apologize to the excellent staff of infectiously pleasant employees for staying a bit later than my friend and I maybe should have. We sort of lost track of time :). All in all, the crew at this Tokyo Joe's were awesome and do their jobs ridiculously well. I wish I could express how thankful I am for the whole experience. From the very animated, fun, and genuine cashier to the obviously caring and well-trained/skilled ormaybe even talented cook(s) that created my dish, everything was better than I could have dreamed. I hope everyone gets the privilege to have a similar experience to what I had. It felt very special. Thank you, friends at Tokyo Joe's, to say the...

Personally one of the best places I’ve been too!! My first impression of the restaurant would definitely have to be a 5/5. Going in my friends and I were new, and the staff kindly gave us their opinions and helped us through it all! It was a very welcoming environment and the staff were truly lovely. It was great to see how much passion they put into making the sushi, especially on a Monday! It is definitely noticeable that the staff put a lot of hard work into the food they put out to others. Not only that, but the staff also didnt panic when it got busy! Which is super nice, because sometimes the vibe of the restaurant changes when it gets busy. However, this one stayed the same and the food was given out at a steady rate! I’m definitely planning on coming again, and recommending it to others! Such great staff, they know what they’re doing! It’s nice to be able to ask them what they recommend and to be given an honest answer! Definitely going to try all of the items on the menu!...

Just in here and ordered two bowls one for myself and 1 for my wife . We ordered white chicken double veggies and picked our veggies. It came out the orders were backwards meaning I got her veggies in my large and she got mine in her small. Went up and told them that before we even took a bite. Because it says on the tables if uunhappy please bring it back up. So I watched the guy take my bowl turn it upside down in a plastic lid and put it in a large bowl then took my wife's flipped it upside down put it in a small. No mind u didn't remake or add more veggies to my supposed to be large just flipped it then gave then back to us like that fixed it. If I wanted to do that we could just have switched bowls. Wow I was shocked this is not the first time orders were wrong. Then we are it and the veggies were way under cooked almost raw. Wow we come here a lot but I might have to reconsider. Very disappointed at the inept cook and people not doing right by...
