This was our first time ever going to a Chili's. We arrived for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon, around 1:00pm. Masks are required until you are seated, and they are doing every other table for seating. The wait was either 20-30 minutes, or we could eat at the bar. Luckily they had room at the bar so we chose there.
We ordered our food and I went to the bathroom. I almost slipped on the floor near the kitchen. I looked down and the floor was black with this slick grease. I had to clean my shoes when we got home. This was a huge turn off. I got back to the bar and it took a total of 30 minutes to get our food from when we ordered it. They must be short staffed, because the restaurant was only at 50% capacity.
We both ordered the Honey-Chipotle Crispers® & Waffles. This included crispers on top of Belgian waffles. Topped with bacon, jalapeños, ancho-chile ranch. Served with fries & honey-chipotle sauce. The serving was generous, I only ate half. My fiancé ate his whole plate. The French fries were cold when they arrived, so we didn't eat them. The crispers were nice, crunchy but had sauce on them. They had fresh green onions on top, which was a weird flavor with the waffle combo. The waffles were not good, they were dry and hard. Instead of syrup, there was this hard burnt brown sugar like crust on some of the pieces, which wasn't good. There was supposed to be ancho-chile ranch on the meal, but it was only a few drops here an there. I wish I would have asked for it on the side.
Overall, we didn't feel too good after the meal. Either the heavy ness of it or something else, not sure. Overall wasn't a good experience and I don't think we...
Read moreTried to give Chili's another try. Went to The Chili's on Mason Street in Green Bay. Not much better. Came in the door, was told to go to Hostess, where she dropped us off at the table with No talking. Finally after awhile a Waitress came up.... stood there and waited.... when she did talk it was a low whisper. We decided to order food and drinks. I asked for Mellow Yellow where she said "We don't have Mellow Yellow or Mountain Dew" but doesn't offer any options. We ordered our sodas and the food. Never came back to check on us till she brought our food out with the drinks. No drinks while we had waited.... maybe a dozen people there (so she wasn't busy). There was a man who checked on us and got us more drinks. The food looked good and hot. But my burger had been sitting cause it was barely warm. My burger was almost red inside (she never stayed around to see how the pampas burger to be cooked). I tried to eat it but couldn't. When to hostess to see if Waitress could get me a different smash burger. Finally Waitress comes over to take burger back. Now I know it will take time.... but never refills drink till the male Waitress comes and gives us new drinks. My Smash burger comes out but I am q0uite frustrated at situation. I tool burger in box but again Male Waitress helps us. Went to pay bill .... she never even compted our bill. No one to talk to about. Very frustrating meal. I will NOT GO BACK TO CHILI'S AGAIN. I don't know how they train their staff but they should do it better. Not good food or go service.... no one to talk to about...
Read moreI'd give this Chili's a zero if possible. My older sister came to visit from across the country and wanted to go get food with me and my mom so we went to this Chili's. The food took a bit but we came in at a busy time and the food was decent. We had a great time but what happened after is what caused me to be disappointed. I just turned 21 a few months ago and I forgot my Wisconsin ID at home so I used my Oneida tribal ID. The server refused to serve me dessert and alcoholic drinks since I did not have a state ID. I told him that the Chili's was on Oneida land and I was using a tribal ID (an Oneida ID no less!) so I did not see the problem and that it was against Wisconsin law to not accept a tribal ID and he said he didn't care and I needed to leave. I showed him the law where it said it was illegal to not accept a tribal ID and asked to speak with a manager and he said that his manager would respond the same way and I needed to go. I was humiliated in front of the other diners at one of the busiest times of day and in front of my sister who I rarely see too. I was astonished because I can access my bank account and use my tribal ID to fly yet Chili's wouldn't accept it? We went out for drinks elsewhere but I am still immensely disappointed in the service at this Chili's. You need to educate your employees better especially when a great deal of your customers are...
