This new bar (with games) opened on January 25, 2025. I didn’t have any plans on this Saturday night, so I decided to go check it out, solo. I arrived around 10:30pm. The first thing I noticed was that parking was limited. Inside, it was extremely busy! One side is a long bar with 5-6 bartenders. The other side is where the games are located. I saw people of all ages. I was able to grab a seat at the bar. They had 5 TVs in that area. Even with sitting at the bar, it took forever to get services. I don’t think there were enough bartenders for the crowd. I think there should’ve been more, especially with it being opening night. Or maybe had bartenders assigned to designated sections of the bar to prevent people from being skipped or just not attended to at all. It seemed like they were focusing on the ends of the bar. To be honest, after 10 minutes of the bartenders serving everyone else but me, I almost left because even the person who came and sat beside me got served before me. If I wasn’t by myself, I think I would’ve been more patient but when you’re alone, I have nothing to do but wait. After 20 minutes of waiting, I finally placed an order for a regular margarita. I asked if they could add a flavor and was told no abut could do a spicy margarita. I just got the regular one. After I got it, I closed out. It wasn’t even worth keeping a tab open. If it took me 20 minutes to get one drink while sitting at the middle the bar, who knows how long it would’ve taken to get a second one. The margarita was lackluster. I’ve never had a margarita with club soda in it… I thought that was very odd. The drink tasted weak to me. It was $12. After that, I was annoyed and ready to go. I chugged the margarita down and left the bar area before going to the arcade side. There was a DJ there. I saw a Photo Booth, air hockey, punching machine, and etc. the typically arcade games. Card readers on the game machines. It seemed like most of the games were $1. I ended up losing in a game to a stranger and had to go back to the bar. This time, I stood at the end, hoping that would be quicker and it was. I just needed to get a beer, which I got and closed my tab. Afterwards, I left. The bar situation really dampened my mood. I could understand if I was standing behind people and I just had to wait my turn… but to be sitting right there in the middle of the bar, watching bartenders tend to everyone but me… my annoyance grew with every passing minute.. I even made direct contact with 2 of the bartenders and they didn’t say a word or acknowledge me. Compared to the other bar/arcade place in Greensboro, it is smaller and less room. It was crowded and limited games. It almost gave club vibes with how many people were standing around as it was packed and the loud music. With the games, i like the idea of being able to get a reloadable card and put money on it vs having to bring cash or make a $1 charge on my card for every game I wanted to play. As a positive, I will say I liked the decor and the music was enjoyable. Other people seemed to be enjoying themselves. I wonder what the experience would be like once the hype has died down or on a day where it’s not so crowded. I would consider returning but this experience didn’t impress me at all and left me disappointed, actually. I was here for only 40 minutes.

From the outside, it looks like a simple mechanic’s garage but step inside and you’re met with a classy cigar lounge vibe. There’s even a hidden arcade behind the bar for some classic fun! The bartender was also very prompt, friendly and attentive.

Terese, Brandon, Indi, Helen, & Jared are always 10/10 & are the truest meaning of phenomenal bartenders/bouncers. george’s garage is a wonderfully crafted (dog friendly) space with plenty of seating for intimate conversation or larger groups to mingle including: arcade games, photo booth, plenty of areas perfect for photo backdrop, as well as outdoor seating & a garage to invite the beautiful weather in. not to mention - this bar has the BEST view of the grasshopper fireworks in greensboro every friday & saturday night! being walking distance from other bars & next to the cities number one brunch & fine dining restaurants, you truly can’t beat this spot. also a known local fav for all the residents at neighboring apartment communities - the owners here truly have created a special place for community and i am so grateful to call george’s my favorite spot in greensboro! also hands down the best espresso martini in the...
