I had an absolutely terrible experience at this store. One of the worst I've ever had at Taco Bell. Apparently they are too short-staffed to take orders! I suppose that's an improvement over the first store I went to which was closed without any explanation/sign... First, the drive-thru lane is very narrow and has very sharp turns/curves, one right at the beginning which is absolutely unnecessary which makes it impossible to get through without hitting & running over the curb twice in my vehicle. Before I even reached the ordering pedestal the vehicle in front of me asked me to back up so they could get out of line which I attempted to do but was unable because of the awkward sharp turn at the beginning and being in a van. Even if I had been able to see properly there's no way I could've gotten out while backing up because of that curve (since rear wheels can't turn!). So, of course she's frustrated. Once I pull up to order they tell me they aren't taking orders and that I must download their app and come back through once my order is ready. Now, I understand that they're short-staffed. But there can not be any viable, valid or sensible explanation for why they failed to post a sign at the entrance to the drive-thru lane to inform potential guests of their limitations & requirements! That wouldn't have saved SO MUCH frustration for the employees and customers! Seriously...!!! So, I download the app, sign up & create my order. After some trouble getting my payment to go through, I come back through to get my order. The app does not provide the ability to request "no ice" for a beverage, so I ask at the window which clearly upset the young lady who mumbled her frustration and rolled her eyes shaking her head the entire time she got me a drink without ice.
I certainly empathize with her situation, I worked in the restaurant industry for nearly two decades... However, it certainly isn't my fault that the app they forced me to use is incapable of adding this simple, common & basic request. It also is not my fault that the store is short-staffed today, or that she has chosen to work here, or that she decided to show up and stay for her shift today, or that nobody who works here had the forethought or problem solving skills to put up a sign telling people they are only accepting mobile orders!
My god was also very poorly assembled and not properly portioned, and they didn't give me any of the sauce packets on my order. I just dealt with it... It's really not that big of a deal!
While sitting in the parking lot eating & writing this I've seen the vehicles attempt to back out of the drive-thru... Unsuccessfully! And a number of people obviously & visibly quite frustrated.
Taco Bell clearly needs to offer better pay to their employees of they have any hope or interest in solving these problems!
This is truly a...
Read moreI honestly don't even know where to start other than to say that if I could give them a 0 star rating, I would after tonight. We used the app to place an order, got to the store to pick it up around 10. We got in the drive thru as usual. An hour and 15 minutes later, we were still there!! 2 cars had moved. The first hour we were there, 0 cars moved through the line. Once we got the food it was cold and soggy. The soft taco alone was so greasy I couldn't make it any further without getting sick. Once we finally made it to the speaker box, I had to speak up as there was nothing coming from their side. Someone responded when I said "hello?" They said that they apologized, they were short staffed, and they would be right with me. 5 minutes later they asked for my order. It seems that both management and the employees need a refresher course on how to run a restaurant. Actually to be fair, it is probably only the management that is incompetent. When fast food takes longer than a steakhouse, there is a problem. About two years ago, I went to a random taco bell in Wilmington. It was late night, only drive thru open. There was literally one staff member. Just one. In the entire store. She apologized that my food took 10 minutes. She still managed to get my order out to me with an hour to spare!! SINGLHANDEDLY...it's very obvious that this establishment needs new...
Read moreI recently had a terrible experience at Taco Bell that left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. I placed an order for a burrito through the drive-thru, but when I got home, I discovered that the burrito was completely wrong. Not only did it have the wrong ingredients, but it wasn't what I paid for.
I immediately called the Taco Bell location to explain the situation and ask for a replacement. However, the person who answered the phone was incredibly rude and dismissive. She accused me of lying about my order and told me that I needed to bring the burrito and the receipt back to the restaurant in order to receive a replacement.
I was so upset by her attitude that I didn't want to bring the stinky burrito back in my car, so I just brought the receipt the following evening. When I arrived at the restaurant, the staff member who helped me was much more polite and understanding. They apologized for the mistake and replaced my burrito without any further issues.
Overall, I'm disappointed by the way I was initially treated by the Taco Bell staff member on the phone. I don't appreciate being called a liar and having my valid complaint dismissed. However, I do appreciate the effort made by the staff member who helped me in person to correct...
