We came all the way from Hendersonville NC to eat here. This is our experience.... The first time we came here service and food were great. The second time we came was a disaster. It started with the waitress. She took our drink order and about 10 minutes later we finally got our drinks. She walks off to go sit down at a table with a bunch of co-workers. About 15 minutes later she finally comes back to take our order. We ordered appetizers and they came out within a decent amount of time but we couldn't eat them due to lack of silverware and no waitress to be found to ask for some. Finally we were able to catch a waitress that wasn't ours and she brought us two out of the three silverware needed. So we dive into the appetizers while sharing a fork with my son. The lightly fried deviled eggs were rubber which were very good the first time but not so much this time. When the waitress finally came back around we finally got the silverware we needed. Then put in another order for drinks which never came. Little did she know we could see she was sitting at another table with what appeared to be her boyfriend. She then realized she forgot to put in the drink order and blamed the bar for being "backed up". Again she didn't realize we were sitting one table away from the bar and could clearly see that they were not backed up. (Do bars even get backed up?!) Finally our food came 45 minutes after we ordered. Brought by someone other than our waitress. My bun was soggy on the bottom and my burger was cold. My husband's burger was not what he ordered and he didn't order anything off menu, it should have come out right. My son's tater tots were cold. After still not getting our drinks and finally telling the waitress what was wrong we paid for what we ate and left never to return again. The difference between this time and last was night and day. I don't know what happened. I do, however, feel sorry for the good wait staff and cooks that have to pick up all the slack or stand a chance of being sabotaged buy poor, lazy servers. ...
Read moreMy coworkers and I visited this location today for our lunch hour they didn’t have a wait time which was good they seated us and waitress asked what we wanted to drink took our drink order when she came back to ask if we were ready a coworker asked how long would it take the food to be ready the waitress said shouldn’t be no more then 20 minutes so we said we have more then enough time she put our order in and time passed by we noticed that people that had been seated after us were already getting their food..which we thought was a little weird when we noticed it keep happening we kept trying to get our waitress attention and she would keep ignoring us literally she would pass and we would say excuse me and she would keep walking so it’s now past more then the 20 mins and she passes again and finally we get her attention and ask about our food she says oh everything is ready we are just waiting on the nachos (which is an appetizer) so at this point we have like 10 mins left of our lunch so we let her know if we can just get our food to go she says that’s fine (side note she’s had an attitude since she started to serve us) she goes back boxes the food gets our check and charges us when we make it back to work I open my food and to my surprise my burger is cold my fries are cold and burnt whatever sauce that is that they put on the side they put in the box without a top on it which leads to it being spilled on half of my burger making it soggy at this point I have no other choice but to eat it I take a bite and the burger is dry we call to speak to a manager and we get told that we have to call back at a later time…keep in mind this is the first time I have been here and had heard wonderful things about the establishment and how the food is amazing and I had the worst experience ever I will most definitely not return my food was not worth the $16.00 I paid and the experience I had with the waitress was horrible she needs to be more attentive and nice...
Read moreI've been wanting to try BDB out for a while now, and was thrilled to get the chance tonight. Surprisingly, there wasn't much of a crowd, and I got a table without wait. The waitress, while not very cordial, was all business and made sure we were well taken care of. Started off with a curious appetizer. The "Not Your Mama's Deviled Eggs". They were quite bland even with the addition of bacon. The jalapeno slices were raw and didn't add much other than crunch. The breading inside the hollowed out egg white was spongy and not appealing. It was also missing a snap. Maybe a bit of Crystal hot sauce would save this dish.
That said, the night was saved by the star of the show. The burger. I opted for the "Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids". The burger meat was cooked to order, which I ordered a nice medium. It was juicy and had a nice sear to it. Pink on the inside, and well seasoned. The monterrey jack cheese was nice and gooey. The jalapeno bacon was thick and crispy. And the bacon mayo gave the burger the much needed kick to send it to orbit. My companion built her own burger and was a bit overwhelmed by the size when it came to the table. These burgers are big. Not for the feint of heart. But its worth it, and I've got a big mouth. The fries are also good. Rustic thin cut, and I got ranch to dip them in. My only complaint would be the presentation has the fries in a metal bowl which steams them and takes away from the crispiness I expected. But really...in all honesty...after eating that burger, who would have room for fries?
I will be back. Next time, I think I will try their Philly Cheesesteak. Blasphemy I know! But I got a burger the first time! And it won't...
